Deck Description

This deck is a bit fringy. Saw this idea on an article that titled the deck "Blumanji". I wanted to splash white for better control against decks like Delver. The deck basically circles around Fauna Shaman to get whatever creature you may need to defeat your opponent. It has Melira in it to fuel the Kitchen Finks and Glen Elendra Archmages to make them invincible. Basic idea is to go on aggro game 1 by pitching your Vengevines with Fauna Shaman and getting all your Vengevines in the graveyard to bum-rush your opponent. I tried to fit in the most bad-ass creatures that Modern has to offer to put your opponent on edge and not knowing whats coming next. This deck is super fun and I believe a bit more enjoyable than Birthing Pod. The downside is that it's a lot like a token deck where you have a lot of creatures but don't have much power to show. With this itteration however you're able to get out good hexproof creatures like Geist and Thrun to beat down your opponents. The fun thing with this deck is that you can put in any type of creatures you want if you feel they may be better. Let me know what you think!

Edit #1: Just made some changes to this deck to have better late game that synergizes with the deck through adding 2 archangel of thune, 2 courser of kruphix, and a nylea. I feel having a later game mana sync is good

Edit #2: Made some changes to both the Mainboard and Sideboard, namely removing the Vengevines completely. I feel that this deck can't readily rely on using the Vengevines effectively and have decided to add more of a Hatebear style to the deck than a purely aggro style. The Vengevines also don't normally stay after game 1 anyways and decided that 3 more slots for more useful utilty was the way I wanted to go.

Edit #3: Decided to go with some more hate main deck and add more Restoration Angels to tag creatures that have enter the battlefield triggers. Main board Hushwing Gryff seems a bit unsynergized but it's ability to be flashed and to stop splinter twin and other midrange decks with Seige Rhinos seems good to have it. If it ends up being more harm to me than I'll put it back in the sideboard. Also decided to move the copy creatures to the sideboard against midrange decks that have decent creatures to copy. Added a main board Spike Feeder because I'm running Archangel so I might as well. Gives me a decent win-con against grindy decks with minimal removal.

Deck discussion for BantManji

I like what you have done here. There are so many combos that spark in my mind when I read through that card list. There is nothing worse than not getting that creature you want and this deck gives you that creature aswell as a whole lot of other things to do in order to destroy your opponent.
Nice Job.

Thanks. Like I said, the cool thing about this deck is that you don't have to have all the same creatures. Just the necessary ones like Fauna Shaman. I've tinkered with a version similar to this but used black instead of white. The White though is alot more pertinant in this meta though. Anyone can build it in whatever colors they want to to make their own unique combos. Thanks for the comment and check out some more of my decks if you get the chance

I have thought about maybe running the playset but for now i feel that that I would like to keep away from them. That being said I may take out some stuff to put them in eventually

Nice deck man, +1 from me. With that many legendary creatures I would suggest running Eiganjo Castle and Minamo, School at Water's Edge. I think there both better then Okina but all 3 will come in handy.

I do agree with running those lands, but i also want to stay away from adding too many unfetchable lands. I'm already running the 2 caverns, 1 okina, and a gavony township. They do seem pretty awesome though. Maybe the Okina could come out for one of these other options

Reclamation Sage is better then Harmonic Sliver, easier to cast and has 1 more power.

Actually had a friend who said that same thing. And while you are correct there is something I want to point out. The one that that rec sage does not do is have multiple triggers with Phantasmal Image and Phyrexian Metamorph. If you have Harmonic Sliver out and you copy with Phantasmal Image you get 2 enchantment/artifact destruction triggers instead of 1. Do it again with both of those cards in play with Phyrexian Metamorph you get 3 triggers. That is the only reason for harmonic sliver over rec sage. If the multicolor and attack becomes and issue than i'll switch it for sage though.

No you don't. It says when "this" creature enters, so if you were to copy the rec sage it would trigger the same way. You don't get multiple destruction triggers when any one creature enters. You get a trigger when each one creature enters not one for each sliver when each enters.

Harmonic Sliver would have to read, Slivers have " Whenever another sliver enters the battlefield destroy target......"
but it reads "Whenever this sliver enters........"

Harmonic Sliver says, "All Slivers have 'when this creature comes into play, destroy target artifact or enchantment". When you cast Phantasmal Image copying Harmonic Sliver the Harmonic Sliver on the battlefield checks that the creature entering is a sliver. It is a sliver so the destruction trigger happens. Then the text box on the newly cast Phantasmal Image (now Harmonic Sliver) checks itselft and gets another trigger. So at this point all slivers entering the battlefield basically say "destroy 2 target enchantments/artifacts when this sliver enters the battlefield. This ability stacks as you have more Harmonic Slivers in play. If you don't agree or understand you can just google Phantasmal Image/Harmonic Sliver interraction.

Well shit, sorry man I wasn't thinking it's a double trigger from itself. I feel silly now, wheres my coffee? FML I've even argued this same subject in regards to Constricting Sliver but I was taking your side. Where's my coffee?

lol don't worry it. the reason i know this is because my friend had the same idea. Even I was confused about the multiple triggers. Other than that though thanks for commenting and looking. If you see anything else you would like to see please let me know.

Other then the 2 lands I suggested the other day, Aegis of the Gods could be helpful against burn or discard if you could protect it, Lotus Cobra has always been helpful in tri colour decks. Silverblade Paladin could have a place here too.

It's funny that you mentioned lotus cobra. It used to be in here but I dropped for some more 2 drops that have hatebear text. I love lotus cobra but I like the variety I get with this build. Silverblade wasn't even something I thought of before. Sounds pretty awesome actually and I'm pretty sure I have one in my binder. I was thinking of maybe adding a Mirran Crusader though. Aegis of the gods is going in the sideboard immediatley

so honestley i hate skaab ruinator. he was a $30 card in standard, and then when it cycled he dropped to a buck and i lost like $100 in value. i hate him on principle i guess, but he just doesnt fit the theme well. try a grand abolisher instead

i do like grand abolisher. However, Skaab Ruinator is a flying beatstick that is not easily removed or blocked for value. He is not hard to cast due to all the other stuff that gets killed along the way and he is pitched to fauna shaman with no shame. I would bring him out against graveyard hate but other than that just a large threat main board i feel is just great against my meta.

I think it fits good since the synergy with pitching it then being able to cast it. As well if you did decide to run Silverblade it's simply brutal. Most creature based decks need 1 or 2 slots for a monster in my opinion.

Absolutely. That's why it also runs the Archangel of Thune as well. It just let's all my creatures overrun my opponent. Once I have her, Courser of Kruphix, ScOoze, or Finks online it's just a matter of time before I win.
