Trep Blade starts before damage is dealt therefore stacking what additional damage towards doublestrike. I'm not looking for double milling just double damage off the mill.

Go three colors U/R/B and introduce all mana producing sorcey/instant spells then you could pull off a turn 1/2 win depending on if you have the spells to give haste.

Yeah, milling is very difficult if it's the only win condition. This is so much fun to play, especially against aggro and burn. They watch as all those would be spell go to the graveyard.

I like Runechanter, however, this deck was committed to milling in standard. The biggest addition to combat the eventual land draw was double strike with Fencing Ace and Ajani. The results without Ajani or Fencing Ace was really good against aggro decks...I just dealt more damage.

Yes and no on the stalkers...first they are 3 cost which means I would consider them as replacements for Lyev Skyknights but not the 1 and 2 cost killers. Mindshrieker and Jace Phanstasm are too valuable in this deck, just by the sheer amount of damage vs cost. In any case, there are no standard creatures which are 1 cost 5/5 flier by round 3.

To answer you second question, yes and yes. This wasn't meant to deck out people as the main win condition, but should there be a protacted affair it certainly could. I've always loved how much milling annoys people when they freely lose spells. It's a cheaper, undiscriminating discard function to me.

Thanks for the comment.

Jarad should be sideboarded at best in case you have a situation where you can't attack but you can sac really powerful creatures for massive damage. Tracker's Instincts is just a weaker version of Grisly Salvage, consider replacing them with Treasured Find or Disentomb. I know Deathrite Shaman is a cheap card with lots of abilities, but those abilities require tapping which means you can't use it as a blocker. It really a weak card for this build.

I got something similar, if you would like take a look and if anything catches your eye go on an use it.

I took the Skymark Roc down to 2 and inserted 2 Ajani, Caller of the Pride a while ago. Keeping them allowed me to press the issue with bouncing/detaining/evasion while keeping my creature levels high enough to make Trep Blade relevant. Thanks for you info bro. I will be dumping the Gates though.

This whole thread has the feel of one person owning several accounts and is holding a conversation of self-congradulation.

I give this a look to see if you G/W/B was similar to mine...it's not. Screw Rest in Peace, go with Grafdigger's Cage, keeps your Lingering Souls in play even if it means using Sundering Growth to destroy and Populate. I think you could use Bone Splinter main deck, otherwise you have no removal.

If I'm going up against massive amounts of control, which tends to happen often, I'll commit to wholesale changes which Psychic Spiral, Negate, and Detention Sphere. If they continue to whip the board or use Terminus I can continue to put creatures on the battlefield while getting ready to put down Psychic Spiral which mills them and reloads my library. I might consider Devastation Tide in my board as well, considering the card advantage.

Lotleth Trolls are a must here...plus you need Treasure Find to offset any loss of card advantage from Grisly Salvage. Otherwise replace Grisly Salvage with Gatecreeper Vine. I would also suggest Deviant Glee or Rancor to replace Tormented Soul.

Gravecrawler + any sac engine + Blood Artist + Carnival of Souls = Infinite life loss/gain.

You can't keep the angel by using rootborn defenses...the angel gets exiled not destroyed, you could populate the angel or put a non-exiliable angel in play with Parallel Lives though.

Maybe consider Ghostly Touch to allow an additional tap of Krenko per rnd.

I think after examining the deck I provided you will change your mind on mill decks, or the very least what I consider a viable mill deck in standard. Not saying I would go 2-0 against your Rakdos build, just saying Slaughter Games will be working overtime trying to exile all the mechanics of mill. And no, I didn't glean over your deck. From my perspective this presents a challege to those with no evasion and a large mana curve. Otherwise an Unleash deck with a couple of enchantment boosts would press you pretty hard. One last suggestion, Annilating Fire would do well with Olivia not to mention Heartless Summoning would do well considering how much more valuable your creatures are by round 3 vs 5 or 6.
