this deck is about hitting hard and hitting fast there is a plan and then 2 backup plans. (shown in how to play)
Plan A: getting out marit lage with vampire hexmage or getting out withengar with stoneforge mystic as fast as possible.execution: marit lage: if you have atleast 1-2 places to get black mana in your hand a vampire hexmage and an expedition map you have it by turn 3.first lay down a swamp and play expedition map, next play another swamp and tap expedition map to go get dark depths, third play dark depths and vampire hexmage sacrifice vampire hexmage to use it on dark depths to bring out marit lage.withengar: if you have about 1-2 land and have stoneforge mystic (or she is in your upcoming draw) play a land and maybe expedition map (for incase purposes), second play another land stoneforge mystic. third play a land, use stoneforge mystics ability to put elbrus on the field and if you have a tormented soul attach play that and attack next turn with it attached if not attach it to stoneforge mystic and attack next turn.incase of murders, destruction, or failed attempt at plan A go to plan BPlan B: hoping that you have a quick silver amulet or a way to fetch one and 1-2 lands and a dark ritual you can start flooding the field with the hard hitting creatures of the deck.If this plan does not work go to Plan CPlan C: attach a trepanation blade to tormented soul with lightning greaves and duty-bound dead for exalted if you've had to do this this guy is probably going to win weather you like it or not.
