Deck Description

Basic Idea:
I wanted to make a Funghi-deck, combining spore-counter creatures and proliferate. The first version of the deck, a pauper variant, was never released, but the second variant is here now...even if the proliferate-cards have somehow almost vanished from the deck.

Tests:
This deck exists only on this site and has never been played against another deck. I'm open to all suggestions and ideas that may help to improve this deck.

How to Play

The deck will be rather slow to play, as each Fungus "normally" only can produce a saproling-token each 3rd turn. With the help of Karn's Bastion and Sporesower Thallid this can be speed up, while Slimefoot, the Stowaway can produce such tokens without needing counters.

Deck discussion for B/G: Fungal Might

Why would you build such a tough deck? Die you lose a bet or something?
Just kidding, still an archetype around waiting 3 turns for a 1/1 is not playable in any (constructed) format.

Thelon of Havenwood is a decent lord. Maybe you can go all in on him.

Otherwise I highly recommend you look into the newer Ixalan fungi stuff like Tendershoot Dryad is probably the best and Sporecrown Thallid is your lord.
Fungi that bring a spore upon entering i leaving the battlefield e.g. Yavimaya Sapherd are playable.
Play some black removal like Fungal Infection (if you want to stay on tribe)
Otherwise the card pool suggests a sacrifice theme.
Golgari Germination, Fungal Plots, Mycoloth... Black has a lot of auch stuff in general.

Decks build around Sprout Swarm and/or Life and Limb are also fun.

No, I didn't lose a bet, I simply wanted to try to make an old-school Fungi deck :)
I have once played in Arena against a deck with Tendershoot Dryad, and honestly, it was not funny, as the white lifegain deck I did play back then did have some removal, but not nearly enough.
Sprout Swarm was in the starting-list of the deck, but I simply forgot about the convoke ability of the card and calculated that it would come cheaper to generate tokens with Slimefoot, the Stowaway. So I will add Tendershoot Dryad and Sprout Swarm again.
Regarding the original idea of Fungi with spore counters Golgari Germination and Fungal Plots have one big disadvantage here: They need a creature card in my graveyard. But each Fungus that you loose, looses you counters, and the ability to generate tokens.
