Standard, B/G/W/U control...

How to Play

This is a new type of deck I came up with & it's actually working extremely well & is well versed as I've tested it against all types of competative decks... :)

At times, I like to hold my wipes a little, even if I take massive damage for a few more turns... ...that's because I'd like to eleminate more threats at once & still have more than enough removal in hand... ...tough, this is usually unnesesary, but it's a safe strategy.......

I also like to hold back single removal spells on creatures, until I cast a wipe, because that way, I may take extra damage, but it won't be enough to threaten my victory & I can eleminate the same amount of threats by less spells... ...this way I can reserve my single removal spells for future threats that will likely come slower than those at the early & mid-game...

Swan Song from the sideboard is a formitable counter, since it's quite flexible for a 1 mana counter & the token it gives to the opponent doesn't matter much... ...I also have 4 Verdict, 2 Decay mainboard & another Decay inthe sideboard as uncounterable spells, so if I decide to have a 2/2 flyer for 1 mana, I can do it easily... ...I still use more Negate, since it can deal with more types of threats & in this control deck, it usually doesn't matter if it's 1 or 2 mana.......

I think we can name 4 colored deck types after the 4 colored Nephilim from the original Ravnica block... ...so this deck's combination type would be "Witch-Maw"... :)

I'm thinking on improvements...

Suggestions are wellcome!..
Enjoy!

Deck discussion for Sun's Connections

Reminds me of my 4c deck, "Glint-Eye" control (http://www.mtgvault.com/kjsj3/decks/grixis-control-standard-fnm/). This looks more balanced than mine. I like it.

This deck looks mean. This makes me feel like my decks are small and insignificant. If you don't mind, could you check out my selesnya deck? Beyond witchstalker and savage summoning in the sideboard, I don't know what to side against control decks.

I'm curious, why isn't there an architect of thought? Revoke existence from botg reliably takes care of gods. Bile blight is a good early removal and if your opponent likes elvish mystics or boros tokens, it gets rid of them. Fated retribution is an instant fieldwipe. Gild exiles a creature and makes a one use mana dork. Drown in sorrow is the black version of anger of the gods with scry attached. I still love this deck. It is awesome. I know I do this to you a lot and I'm sorry but can you check out my version of this deck if you get a moment?

You're right...

I already toke this deck apart... ...I haven't played it at any tournament... ...I'll try to make a new version soon, that's better balanced... ...I've made this long be4 BOG camee out.......

Looks like value town.

I'm not sure if you ever want to hit two Underworlds in a game, but if so would 3 be an option? Sphinx's Revelation mitigates its necessity but think about it.

I wish Aetherling were your only creature win con and you were more all-in on Elspeth and Dissolves or something.

Still, really strong take of 4 colour control. Me like.
