Oh the Valkas bombing....it was an unplanned side-effect of the deck, didnt even realize i stuck it in there originally until i played it out and was like <=o....the HALARITY! At the rate this deck can poop dragon tokens, having one or two valkas out can spin doom in any game. Drake, i took out 5 people in like 2/3 turns right cuz i had broodmother and two valkas (And alot of tokens)?

Its actually surprisingly fast! Between Kodama's Reach and Cultivate, Quicksilver Amulet and Descendants Path, I poop dragons out rather quickly. Im usually always hardcasting Most dragons by like Turn 5-6 and ill have a few of them out on the field beforehand. Normally by Turn 3-4, depending on the draw, I begin to be a serious threat to people.
Ok gents. I would like to recommend two of my personal dragon decks for you. Both have had a retarded amount of success and are incredibly fast. With the Adult Dragon deck, I have had 30 or so dragons out by Turn 6 (although I can't remember how I pulled it off haha) and with the baby dragons, well, they just poop out baby dragons =D Seriously though, great dragon decks and I hope these can help you improve your own dragons! Side note: In the Adult Dragon deck, take out scourge of the throne and the deck becomes modern. I like the suggestion. With what he does, he would be a fine addition, no doubts there, however im trying to keep it strictly elementals. Yes I have Rakka in there but that's only because Rakka makes elementals. I will consider adding him in though strictly because of how useful he can be. Thanks for the suggestion!

It is an infinite combo once you get the 3 cards together out. Once Tandem lookout Soulbonds with Niv Mizzet the Firemind, You literally ping everyone until either they're dead or (with laboratory maniac) til you're decked out. Some people don't like the infinite combos but it works and its nasty when it works.
Why not be evil and put Tandem Lookout and Laboratory Maniac in? For Tandem lookout to work right, he needs to be on Niv Mizzet the Firemind though
Thanks for taking an interest. Sorry im just viewing your post like 2 months later haha. But yea im going to update it to what it is now. Right now as it stands, Yes it has weakness to insano-speed and somewhat control, but its too fast for control to keep it locked down. Its a strong dragon deck!

Braid of fire can only be used for mana during the upkeep phase. You have to have another card in that carries mana through phases in order to use it on creatures. It is only good for instants and sorceries. I fell into the same trap on my dragon deck. I recommend Green/Red for dragons because it opens up so many options, including excessive mana ramp. Also if you would like to stay mono red, then you can try Valakut, The molten pinnicle for land and Dragonmaster outcast for another good dragon token drop and dragonspeaker shamen.
I cannot begin to tell you how vast and intense my hatred is for hoplite decks! >_< Fast aggro and annoyingly plain and bleh. There is nothing creative or fun about them. I have beat them enough but they are sooo stupid!

Dragon deck has since been modified and i have play tested this.....This deck has not known defeat yet! Its SO FAST!!!! Mana Ramped DRAGON!!!! They are powerful and hard to stop. I recommend to players looking at dragon decks to at least give this one a chance and take some notes off of it. Im not saying this deck doesnt have weaknesses because it definatly does. A couple different styles can straight up ruin its day. But its still pretty good!

I feel like you need serious Mana Ramp in here. To play any sort of dragon deck, one cannot rely on just mountains alone. You have to ramp it up somehow or be able to fetch land. Green is good to fetch land with (Cultivate/kodama's reach). However if you wish to stay Mono red, i would suggest any of the following: Rite of Flame, Braid of Fire, Caged Sun, Nykthos Shrine to Nyx. Also a couple Utvara Hellkites and/or Dragonmaster outcast and maybe 2 Dragonspeaker shamens would do you good as well. I wouldn't use sorceries such as lightning bolt or shock just because Dragons Pwn on their own. Its just a matter of getting them out and in a hurry! Also if your worried about your higher lvl dragons being countered, look at Cavern of Souls!
