They are terrific for mill, especially with cypher cards.
Personally, I like my Infect with a lot of buff. When I had a creature heavy infect deck, things didn't work too well
Lower CMC, and/or blood crypt. Especially over Rakdos Guildgate I like the reckoner touch, but there are some things that are too high mana cost like Blasphemous Act. I don't think it would be worth it even with all the lowering that creatures have. Ever thought of using Nefarox, Overlord of Grixis. Or Knight of Infamy? Also you should swap out Tainted Field for a similar land, e.g. Isolated Chapel (goes great with Godless Shrine [pun intended])
If I didn't know any better, I'd say that you play a bit of Rakdos. Similar styling
Ok, so i used a reference to different cards, instead of deck composition. Look at the Cavalara deck. Most people comment "put in more lands", and the guy who build it always says "you don't play it, it's alright the way it is" basically. That's how HE plays, not how the rest of us do. So my point still stands FYI I can comment about that BECAUSE I have posted some terrible decks before too
Agreed on some levels, you do need to have some skill and smarts. Although, some of what you say is opinion based. Some cards are crap to some people, but another person may love it enough to make a trophy deck for it. Even those cards have their good uses
