Deck discussion for Simic Infect

As a push maybe consider overrun

Too expensive. If I've not won by turn 5, then it's either a slow game or something's wrong
Everything is mainly 1 drop with the occasional 2 drop

i like it! i just dont think the puny creatures will carry you all the way. i know you got rancor and all the buffs but i dont think thats enough. maybe add corrupted resolve for some counter, and i know its expensive but spinebiter maybe? also maybe aqueous form or tricks of the trade

Forgot about Corrupted Resolve and some cheap counter
But in all fairness, this is true infect. Infect at it's finest. This is the type of infect that drives tournament players of all kinds CRAZY. I'll find a way for some counter though, thanks!
In the mean time, just use the Vines of Vastwood, Ranger's Guile and Apostle's Blessing to cover your creatures

This is Simic
Apostle's Blessing is ALMOST NEVER paid with mana
It is just one card and is commonly paid with 2 life not plains!
Get with the infect program, paying life for spells is just the norm #infectnewb

lol ight! i seen the cost. didnt read the card. and remember that green card that gives +7+7 maybe attack with ichor claw n glistner. they would most likely block glistner andet the ichor claw damage go thru cuz its ability then use the +7 +7 instant

Too expensive. Might of Oaks is 4 mana!
I have 10 2-drops and 30 1-drops
I've been playing infect for about a year now and understand how to play a great infect. Lowass CMC, big power, turn 3 winnings

4 mana isnt that bad! 10 2 drops and 30 1drops is a good reason to hve it too! you dont need that much mana for everything so throughout the game u might have some
spare and you can bust it out

You do realise that I can have +8/+8 for 1 mana with this deck?
I appreciate the thought, but Might of Oaks is just too expensive

what gives +8 +8 for 1 mana

1 Might of Old Krosa and 2 Mutagenic Growths

well do 4 mutagenic growths and 1 might of old krosa. then thats 10 for 1 lol

1

That's +16/+16 for 1
On a creature is 17/17 without exalted/rancor
Fuck

1

So, on a technicality, it's 1 mana and 4 life, right?

1
Posted 14 November 2013 at 02:42

Yes.
Yes it is. But my point was that I could beat a 4 mana instant with 1 mana
What I deliberately forgot to mention was the life used for the other 2 spells within the combo

yea and also +6/+6 unless you use it on your main phase

1

You could then replace it with Groundswell

Because it is almost the same as arguing about the Main Phase ability of Might of Old Krosa

Capj4........
Good luck. In my current infect, I don't pay too much life
But I do pay enough to beat your ass in though
You can't counter forever.

you can definately afford to take out some land. i made a deck very similar to this, and it worked fine on 16 land

0

It's just too risky.
I'd stick with 20. I also probably play too many for a few decks, but I like the safety
Most decks like this that I see have 20 lands

1

but with noble heirarch too... i definately think you should take out 2 land

0

And put what in?
I'd rather have extra mana and play creatures than mulligain 4 times........

1
Posted 20 November 2013 at 22:39

but you have 24 mana sources, and with 18 land you would still be drawing 1-3 land and sometimes a noble heirarch. if you would have to mulligan a lot, it would just mean that you would be unlucky. and then you should add two apostle's blessings.

He could replace lands with Gitaxian Probes.
It increases the strain on his life but it gives vital information while speeding him through the deck...
