Nps for the help.In regards to the bow? do you mean the Bow of Nylea, which currently isnt in your deck lol? that card is good but its not worth it if your jsut placing it in your deck purely for the deathtouch. However if you pair it with Archetype of Courage then yes that would be a good combo. Maybe replace Martial Coup and White Sun's Zenith with 2 Bows of NyleaElixir is more than welcome as a sideboard if your playing milling decks, very understandableWith Doubling Season that is exactly how it works and its crazy good. This is another of my decks that I have implemented that stratergy - http://www.mtgvault.com/sugarrush005/decks/planeswalker-deckwhat/If you bring out say Ajani, Mentor of Heroes he will get 8 loyalties straight away. However, if you then use a +1 loyalty ability he will not get 2 loyalty counters only 1 (this is because a planeswalkers state a 'cost' (+1 or -1 etc...) for their abilities rather than an 'effect.'With Courser even if you have 2 out you can only play 1 land per turn unless another card states otherwise such as Exploration. Similarly if the top card of your deck is a land and you play it (as your 1st played land of your turn) then another land is on top of your library you cannot play it because of the same reasons. So it doesnt stack.

I love Abzan themed decks!Good structure, all I would say as possible changes is to remove Pharika and Whip of Erebos for some card removal like ThoughtSeize (if you have the money) or Duress and Despise work well together + far cheaper. Also switch out 2 Elvish Mystics for 2 Cayatids, you're gonna need that mana diversity it provides. Here is my deck if your interested - http://www.mtgvault.com/sugarrush005/decks/abzan-ascendants/
There is alot going on in this deck with many cards with the same purpose and some without a purpose.1. Drop Elixir of Immortality and Scion of the Wild and add four WayfaringTemples (Elixir doesnt fit in this deck [unless you get Ajani, Mentor of Heroes out early and continue to search top four cards] and Wayfaring Temple is a better version of Scion of the Wild)2. Drop Windswept Heath and add four Sunpetal Groves (wont come into play tapped and can use both W/G mana)3. Drop Temple Garden for Temple of Plenty (does the same thing but you can scry 1)4. I dont really see the point of the Titans, I would switch them for 2 Seraph of the Masses 5. Drop Archetype of Courage and add 2 more Coursers (Courage doesnt seem necessary and Steadfast gives you firstrike if need be)Also consider removal such as Path to Exile or Sundering Growth. Also fix your land devotion, you have 37 white and 20 green mana but 6 forest and 6 plains. Change that to 7 (or 8)plains and 5 (or 4) forests. Other than that some cards to consider may include:Doubling SeasonParrallel LivesGather the TownsfolkFists of IronwoodHere is my deck if your interested for some ideas - http://www.mtgvault.com/sugarrush005/decks/tokensconvoke-ftw/
The deck isnt legal because of the 3 extra Tinkers and the 3 extra Sol Rings...If you have 1 of each in your deck then it will become legal, otherwise I dont really see why you would play this deck and who with seeing as it doesnt fit into any format atm. Interesting combo thou sounds cool if you can pull it of.
I figured Shielding Plax is the best option for some added draw
The temptation for making this deck Vintage is too strong. I'm doing it, welcome to the deck Recoil and Wall of Tears. I can't ignore you any longer
However, I just noticed I would need to copy Constable before I shroud him so I'm also thinking about Sheidling Plax, Mizzium Skin or Swift Boots/Mask of Avacyn because that would allow me to still target Constable with Cryptoplasm's ability. Not much Hexproof to choose from unfortunately...
Too true, I'll take that into consideration, I'm torn between Protective Bubble, Robe of Mirrors and Clout of Dominus. They all provide shroud but the bonuses differ.Protective Bubble - 4 CMC, Shroud and UnblockableRobe of Mirrors - 1 CMC and ShroudClout of Dominus - 1CMC, +1+1 counter and Shroud (but tbh the red bugs me a little lol)
Yeh I know I saw Constable searching through some cards and thought "that is just devestating, I must build a deck around this." And that deck you have there is quite brutal lol, very nice. In regards to Urza and Wash Out I feel I have enough bounce and I'm peeved Recoil isnt Modern cause that goes so well with this deck. Cheers for the help, I'm definitely going to continue working on this deck until its solid.
Cheers for the input, that actually helped alot. I have switched out my predator oozes for experiment one as it fits better with my deck and fixes the mana base as well. I changed the lands too, which has helped. I also added Sorin which i didnt notice the combo before, it works really well with the deck. Thankyou for your perspective.
I agree with Jessie I feel you're gonna need more draw cards, maybe To Arms!
This post is freaking awesome, I only play multiplayer really and on occassion 1v1 (or tbh when its myself and another player left in a multiplayer match). I cant agree more with rule 1 and 2, I avoid lame combos and enjoy the thrill of building an army of pure death (green trample decks ftw especially with Overwhleming Stampede). Because of this my opponents run creature control cards alot...sooooooo frustrating. Oh hey I just made an Ageless Entity with 398 p/t annnnnndddd its gone. I've read the comments above on multiplayer formats. Free for All is fun but does go down the road "ohhhh, not that deck...scoop" or "I hate that deck everyone target him/her." However there is a fun format called Predator and Prey (no one mentioned it so figured I'd put it out there). Best played with 4 to 5 players as to not congest play, everyone attacks to their left and defends to their right. Global cards effect everyone (unlike Grand Melee). Last player standing wins. Also Planeschase format is freaking awesome too (no one mentioned it either). The cards are a bit expensive here and there but the rule changes make for interesting play. Basically normal multiplayer game but you have a set of planes cards and you start the game in a particular plane which has certain rules that affect the gameplay. Each turn you can role a die, which has a chaos marker (activate current planes special ability) or planes marker (move to the next plane), where each role past your first costs 1 mana then 2, 3 so on so forth. Check it out its exceptionally fun and great post, loved it. The more I read the more I agreed.
That sounds good. In regards to Predator Ooze I looked and cant think of another creature that would stick in Standard apart from Experimented One. Might leave it for now not sure.
You see thats much better thankyou for those words, you have helped but that doesnt change the fact that the theme of the deck for me is Abzan focused with some small tweeks here and there, therefore not Standard, which is fine, If you have any comments on that I'm more than willing to listen. Thankyou
Dont care, move on, I'm bored of trying to tell you politely that I'm happy with what I produced. I've even taken your advice and made the deck more efficient as well as pointing out that this deck can be used as a basis for other peoples deck ideas as inspiration. Your 'cocky' attitude and consistant rejection of my thoughts and ideas is not condusive as constructive criticism 'mate'. If I followed your advice completely I'd have the deck you provided above. I dont play solely in Standard and I understand your reasoning for making it standard but I have decided against it, if you have a problem with that then make your own and share it as a link on this page like you did and leave it at that....Fair enough you would think? But please do continue to tell me how my deck is useless in the face of other Modern decks. I do not play competetively, I play with a group of friends with no restrictions on legalities and I use this site to make decks and share ideas. It is so sad that it takes this type of reasoning to tell a fellow MTG player that your opinions on deck proposals are as valid as my own. If you had left it at your 1st comment then congrats, you provided some helpful info, why not leave it at that?Thankyou for tarnishing my first Hot Page deck, you'd think a person with 1,800+ posts would appreciate and understand what it is to help another person with their deck rather than consistantly providing negative criticism. Cheers 'mate'.
Because I dont play solely in Standard is their a problem with that? If people enjoy my deck build they can take it and make it Standard if they please I however would like to utilise other cards that exceed the Standard legality. Issue?
Hey I found this with my Abzan deck but pure Outlast is very slow, you should include some mana ramping creatures such as Birds of Paradise, Elvish Mystic or Avacyn's Pilgrim to help accelerate your deck play. In order to do so maybe cut back on the Outlast buffs your creatures dont need e.g. you have flying with Abzan Falconer you dont need Longshot Squad for reach. Hope that helps! Still loving the idea
You know your right, I have taken into consideration some mana ramping options for some 1 drops to accelerate the flow of the deck. Also I figured Predator Ooze would pair well with this deck if I limit the outlast buffs I need to utilise rather than all of them.
Cheers for the info, I do like idea of Seige Rhino (maybe swap Abzan Battle Priest for some sustain) and I definately considered Thoughtseize but I didnt intend for a solid Standard set up. However, I will place it in my sideboard.
I think this deck works really well, alot of low CMC cards for quick flow however the guildgates should be replaced and Tibalt acutally works to your advantage in this deck. IT WORKS!!!. As long as Liliana's Caress and Underworld Dreams are in play the deck synergy is pretty good.
