cool glad your considering the molten, also sereously look at shrapnel blast, maybe also great furnace, its an artifact land that taps for R, always comes in handy

im thinking maybe some shrapnel blast to get rid of your wellsprings, 5 dmg sound nice to you?
also theres way better dragons out there for the same cmc as shivan dragon
personly id say moltensteel hellkite would fit your deck the best, you can virtually cast him for the same price as your whelps, you can pay all but one of your life to swing for the win and you can also shrapnel blast him if the win is just that much out of reach
i would also throw in some mana excell as well, i dunno if your playing legal legacy or not making it so your allowed sol ring and mana vault or not

here i put together a list of cards, if i were you id make a deck out of these, pure illusions i find to be too slow and easy to take care of

also yes obviously snapcaster would be amasing but i read your description sooooo...
but i think this would make a verry fnm worthy deck

id say more spellskites with so many illusions

though i warn you theres a guy in my meta that plays strictly illusions and i gideons lawkeeper him hardcore then just o ring or fiend hunter his lord of the unreal

so id suggest going red blue tempo, i played a guy and he actually out aggrod me with the delver and the 3/3 wearwolf for 1
also it gives you allot more creature removal

thank you for both your comments, this is a really old deck, and looking back on it i am making some changes to make it faster more consistent and allot cheaper, the purpouse for the rimebound creature is so that i can redirect all damage to him and then regen for 1, mortivore would get strong with me wiping the board with pestilence but by that time ive redirected 15 damage to my opponent and im going to win the game next turn, really no point

i played: infect, burning vengence, kessig wolf run, illlusions

against infect i had enough removal to take care of his stuff and then i just over aggro'd him

against burning vengence i way out aggrod him and destroyed his vengence once he got one out

against wolf run i was out aggroing him but then i stopped drawing land and lost

against illusions i just gideons lawkeeper'd him for the win + mad aggro

and by mad aggro i mean 1 game i had 2 inquisitors flail equipped to angelic overseer swinging for 20, and another i had a bonds of faith and a flail equipped to a mirran crusader swinging for 16

i play in victoria bc canada where some of the top (not actually sure the number and i dont wanna get flamed) worlds players are, thankfully i didnt play against them

basically my only real problem deck to go against is the counterspells and doom blade the first 5 turns then turn 6 wurmcoil, gravetitan, sphynx style decks, also BSZ hates on me

everything else ive got enough removal and tempo to kill them before they establish

no oblivion ring?
also timely reenforcements is more of sideboard material
if your aggros working properly you have more creatures and life than your opponent, if their red or control then its handy

65 cards still drastically reduces your chance on drawing any one specific card
and youve only got 1 copies of like all your cards
its ok to have a deck like that if youve got a toolbox deck (something that has a way of pulling out the cards that you need when you need them)
but without that effect you have no way of reactiing to an emergency situation
also 5 turns is way too slow to be getting STARTED
decks can win in 4 turns
you should at least have something out early turns
and you have virtually no removal...

only cards im missing are:
chrome mox
mana crypt
basilisk collar
ancient hellkite
flameblast dragon
balefire dragon
bloodstained mire
chain lightning

but i do have all 4 gauntlet of might
and everything else
so it wont be that long

you dont have any mainboard spells? wow you donnt often see that
here let me take a look through these creatures
oh by the way miran crusader with a sword is sick! imagine if that hits a player!

wow yah this is a pretty powerfull deck
though i would still exchange some creatures with removal and counters from the sideboard
and in that sideboard -1 revoke exhistance +1 oblivion ring
get rid of flashfreeze for mana leak
-3 negate +3 feeling of dread

maybe even consider gideons lawkeeper to tap your opponents fatties before they attack or block
