Nice,I'd replace one guild gate for a swamp just to save you from losing rhythm; this deck is primarily more black than green anyway so it shouldn't hurt. Having Sylvan Caryatid helps mana fix and smooth things out even more.

That is not a bad idea. I'm also making a couple changes as I go it playing fairly well, but I'm going to be testing it more. Varolz isn't really doing much for it, so I think he can come out.
I ran a Golgari type deck and considered Varolz when I heard about him, then I read his abilities and realized he wasn't really for my deck.Disruption cards could be added to your SD just in case of control deck match-ups. Couple thoughtseize or a good'ol duress.
I forgot to even finish it haha! Sideboard is up.
What do you think of Underworld Connections for Dark Prophecy? It's easier to cast (1BB) and you can control when to lose life for a draw.
I have them both and I'm going to be testing them both but I haven't gotten a chance yet.
So updated the list. Decided that I wanted to play with merchants since I have a couple foiled from draft now.
There's a nice amount of B in the deck, so this isn't a bad idea. Been seeing a lot of Merchants in tourney's too.
