My first deck posted here and my first attempt at a Rock style deck. As far as I understand it a Rock deck should hold its own in the first game and then the sideboard can be utilised depending on situation.I have always wanted to make a deck like this and Green/Black are my favourite colours. I know some obvious cards are missing, for example no Thoughtseize or Kalonian Hydra but I am trying to avoid the deck becoming too pricey.C&C welcome as i want to roll this deck out for FNM at some point in the future.
Pretty simple, use the removal to control the board until your big hitters such as Desecration Demon or Mistcutter land, Burst of strength makes sure the demon can swing. If you lose control of the board and can not bypass the blockers than Jarad will allow direct damage by sacing the big hitters. Vraska provides an alt win con if the game ever drags out.Against control is where the sideboard comes into play, Varolz will allow any countered creatures to be Scavanged for extra hitting power, with all the discard potential eventually a creature should hit the field that your opponent can not counter, Down//Dirty allows for recycling of removal spells from the graveyard. Erebos allows some more card draw but thinking I should try and squeeze in some Read the Bones to maintain card advantage.
