Deck Description

My first deck!!!

1. Infinite Life Combo: Sanguine Bond + Exquisite blood. Used it to win a match already.
2. Life Bomb: Celestial Mantle + Rhox Faithmender + Ajani, Caller of the Pride's Ultimate. Although this life bomb trick can do oh so much more. Combine it with Sanguine Bond for a nasty blast. Especially after Siron gets on the field.
3. Lifegain Juggernaunt: Ajani Pridemate + Archangel of Thune= won 3 matches with these babies.
4. Bomb's Away: Avacyn + Wrath of God. Or, play Elspeth, Knight Errant and follow up with Elspeth Tirel.
5. Cheapshot: Felidar Sovereign + lifegain

Casual play.

1. Mana Ramp-you might not see it at first, but this deck has ridiculous mana ramp. And I eliminated the chance of having land come out tapped by getting Isolated Chapel.

2. Control-I use this as I build up my mana. It keeps small creatures off the board in early rounds and helps me get rid of super general creatures later on. Utter End is perfect for getting rid of planeswalkers and indestructible characters. Journey to Nowhere, Oblivion Ring, Swords to Plowshares, and Silence have proven to be hugely successful. I also love throwing down a Holy Day to prevent damage. Not to mention Sudden Disappearance to avoid a board wipe.

3. Lifelink-The goal was to make gaining life a weapon. And what a weapon it can be. Life bombs. Token invasions. Multiple counters. But the secondary goal is to make sure you opponents can't keep up. That's where Erebos and Siron come in. Erebos...love him. Very underrated. A 5/7 beast at turn 4. He provides card draw and shuts down your opponents ability to gain life. Siron can either hammer an opponent by turning his life to 10. Or he can assist in gaining life/damaging with his extort/lifegain ability.

How to Play

So...this deck is pretty unbeatable.

Control with lifegain.

Played this against a mono black deck. Beat it with two 19/19 Pridemates.

I then played it against a red/green burn deck. Blew it up with Archangel of Thune who...well she is amazing. She won me both games and not by a small margin.

Played against a MonoWhite Angel deck and a Red/Green Mana ramp deck. Killed them with the infinite life combo.

Had too many cards in my deck: 100. Yep, now I understand why you want only 60. Couldn't draw the cards I needed and I got hammered. Fixing that now.

Wow. Who would have thought Celestial Mantle + Erebos + Sanguine Bond would win the game on turn 5? Thank you Urborg and Sol Ring. 60 card deck does wonders.

Sanguine Bond + Beacon of Immorality. Then flew in with an angel and game was over. Turn 5.

Storm Herd + Cathar's Crusade + Caged Sun = major win. Especially when I had 597 life. My goodness. I won 42605 to -42000 (rough numbers). Seriously. It was a 42,000 point blast.

Sorin + Exquisite Blood. My opponent went to 10 life. I went through the roof. Game over.

What a game. My life was down to 8 against a supercharged RG deck stacked with dragon tokens and massive mana ramp who's life was at 96. He was even producing golems like a madman. I threw down a storm herd. Then it happened. I was able to lay down Liliana Vess and combo'd her with Erebos, God of the Dead (his draw ability). I throw out another Storm Herd to use as defense on my next turn as well (it combo'd nicely with true conviction). The game would end 3 turns later. I won with over 3,000 life (i was also able to lay down Ajani, Caller of the Pride's cat ultimate). My opponent was too concerned with my angels and with killing me. He didn't even think twice about the damage tokens can do! Always finding new ways to win!

My lifetime Magic Record: 23-3 (12/15/2014).

Also beat the Magic 2015 Dual of the Planeswalkers game

Deck discussion for Unbeatable Life

Make it clear for yourself what you want with your deck
Since all your creatures are white I would advise stick to white ass your color of the deck.
for those enchantments and a planeswalker it isn't worth it adding the color and making it harder to get the type of mana you want.
about mana, you have 1 green enchantment.... you have 0 lands that produces green mana.
within some time I will upload mine Black/White life deck so use that as a starter point for hints and tips if you like.
but i think for the base you have now... change this deck into a mono White colored life gain deck.
so ditch all the non plain lands and replace them with plains. and keep your deck maxium at 60. I can tell from past experience that that is a huge step for victory.
also terramorphic expanse is a very good land card...but not in a 60 card deck, only in EDH or commander decks where you play with 100 cards will it be worth a spot in your deck.

For more questions you can always ask

How many lands should I carry? And what if I threw in just a smudge of black? I would love to see your black/white deck! And thank you so much for the advice!!!!

I think 24 is a nice number to begin.
Myself had some mana trouble so I prever to have some extra. But i might change is back later do to the size of decks.
i just updated mine life-gain deck and made it public so you can watch when you want.
Your deck also gave me ideas how to upgrade mine so it can change in some time.

I made some tweaks to the deck. I also played it a couple times. Let me know what you think!

This is way better than where you started with....i can understand that you win with it. but I have to ask....why 2 blue counter spells?

I know. I really debated with myself forever over that. I love your idea of mono white. But my brain keeps coming back to blue for defense. It allows me to stuff doomblade, hero's downfall, or any other awful thing black throws at me. As well as red's lightning bolt attacks and other low mana instances. I figure if I can keep them off my back long enough, my Pridemates will just run over them. Good or not so good thinking?

If you really fear that then why only 2 counter spells? it would them be more logical to use more counter spells an fight for control type deck instead with life gain.
you use 4 lands(that enter the battlefild tapped) for just 2 blue spells.
i think with that far in mind it will be better to just use 2 more brave the elements than those counterspells.
but you must decide that for yourself...
personal I hate those blue counter spells :P I find them no fun at all. so I don't play them.
but i can say if you really want those spells always at hand.....you will need a lot more than 2.
now you only have around 1 on 30 chance to have a counter spell when you ned it ;)

I think a control deck could stuff it. I have a control deck I am building right now that I am hoping can beat this deck (I am going to let my friends use my own deck against me). This life gain deck has done well against Red Aggro, RG (with mana ramp), Mono Black (lots of counters and curses/inflict), and against other life gain decks. The weird thing? I have yet to play against another life gain deck that actually uses life gain as a weapon. I don't understand that. They use it as a way to get a ton of life points, but they never thought of life bombs, token sprees, or juggernaut counters. But I would love to play against your deck!

most of my decks are pretty casual. so I am sure that some of them wouldn't be much of a challenge.

Perhaps my Leeched Lockdown Deck, my 1 Mana Dimir control Deck, my Defender Deck, or my Super Fast Hydras deck.
those might be able to hold their own. :) you should take a look at them, and let me know if you think they would stand a chance.

You say that there is mana ramp here. Aside from sol ring (which is an excellent card) I really don't see any. What am I missing?

Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx. Granted, it isn't the mana ramp that Green has (white can't compete). The card is far more powerful when actually put into play. I can't believe I got it for $2. Surely that card should be like $20. It has saved my life on a number of occasions. It works great with Sol Ring. Urborg is cool in that it essentially makes everything a dual land. Again, it is not Nissa, but it has worked well for me. I recommend Nykthos to everyone as it can run in just about any deck.

I only thought that sol ring was allowed in commander.....that is the reason it only excist in mine EDH decks

It is allowed in vintage. But it has restrictions. You are only allowed 1. Also, I play mostly casual. Still, we go by vintage rules and only allow 1 per deck.

I like that. :) following the set rules, even in casual makes a pretty big difference. :)

So, your deck has seen a few upgrades since the last time I chekded it....Not bad...you have strong cards and spells to slow the opponent down...Mine version of Lifegain deck aims at to be faster than yours but after for example 8 turns my deck will run out of gass while this deck pulls then the big guns.
