Not only that, but with reliquary tower, you can discard at the end of your opponents' turns, and you can swing in for lethal next turn.

I could also splash blue for cantrips, such as serum visions, gitaxian probe, and sleight of hand. It would help.
I was thinking of splashing blue for See Beyond, but I'm not sure about it.
You see, in the current modern metagame, gaining tons and tons of life isn't as relevant with decks like Melira Pod, which can just deal infinite amounts of damage. I'd much rather have more life than my opponent and still be able to keep constant pressure, rather than have minimal pressure and have more life.
Eh. Sideboard tech.
Archangel of the thine is just too slow. Sure, its a good beater, but instead of playing one big guy and gaining a bit, you could play a bunch of little guys and gain a ton.
I agree. But for the sake of the original deck, I only posting this one, of course anything could make it better. That's why it's so good. It's such a flexible shell that you can go in any direction.
Wow. Ingenious. I always love fun combo decks... Especially in Modern.
Oh right. Sorry. I was kinda just thinking of the Aggro aspect of the deck xD
Remove Shred-Freak for Spike Jester.
Tap abilities are instant speed, so you can retap weird, because you cast the spell, but it didn't necessarily resolve.
thank you!
Haha I have no clue where my bud got this deck idea from, and I happened to notice that article as well about a few weeks back. All I know is that my friend has been playing this deck far before I saw this.
It's the only card this deck CANNOT go up against.
Scry is probably the best thing you can do, because if you were to draw a land, you don't, and you keep you combo going without it being interupted by dead draws.
Yeah, he kind of wins all the time, unless one of us has an ancient grudge or path to exile on turn one.
Go right on ahead! I'm making this a thing!
The only problem with Artful Dodge is the fact that it's NOT a cantrip. It doesn't let me draw anything, so if I draw that early on, it's a dead draw altogether.
Interestingly enough, I've actually gotten perfect hands on the 1st or 2nd mulligan. Again, this deck is a fun deck, and not a deck to bring to a GP, unless you are truly a master. I was always wondering what the probability of the turn 2 combo was. Thanks.~zarlack135 (the deck poster)
about $30... and it's actually super consistent.
