Thanks for the suggestions. The Rack would definitely fit this deck well, but I'm not sure if I'm willing to spend the money on it. Hypnotic Specter would be good, but I'd have to discard it if Noetic Scales and Warped Devotion were on the battlefield.

Thanks for checking out my decks and your comments. I feel like they were helpful. I'd be happy to look at your decks and I'll try to be helpful as well. Need sleep now though...

Very good suggestions. Generally I'm able to kill off my creatures easily enough through attacking, Altar's Reap, Bone Splinters or opponent's creature destruction. This deck generally sucks, but I appreciate the feedback Zoakselot!

Not a bad idea. Thanks Zoakselot!

Haha. Not at all. The biggest factor that goes into building a deck is what you're anticipating playing against and I certainly don't know what kind of decks your friends have. Speaking for myself; I play against some standard/modern decks worth 10 fold my decks value and I need specific combos to work consistently (usually they don't).

I think I'd have a lot of fun playing with you because my all my decks are around the same value and sporadic. Just trying to give my perspective for the little it may be worth. This deck is totally great the way it is and looks like a lot of fun to play!

I'm almost 4 years late responding to this and have changed the deck since your comment, but Overgrown Battlement and Second Sight fit the new version of this deck really nicely. Thanks RosVerde!

In a 3 player game you're going to receive more burn, attacks from flyers, discards and creature destruction. Most of your cards have low CMC and you'll play through most of what you have (if not all) before getting Faithless Looting or Gamble. If you have no cards in your hand any cards you would get from Faithless Looting or Gamble would go directly into your graveyard. Most opponent's won't choose to attack if they're not going to be able to deal damage making your Glyph useless as well unless it can be played in combination with one of the 3 cards you have that force creatures to attack. I guess I'm saying I feel that the win condition of this deck is based on a combination of at least 3 cards, two of them being Glyph of Destruction and Skin Invasion and the third being any wall. Pulling off that combo consistently will require being able to go through your deck a bit faster to get what you need.

This version does have some draw/fetch cards, but they're worthless if your hand is empty. I suppose it doesn't matter much in a 2 player game though.

I would put some some draw cards in here because most of these cards are low mana cost and your hand might run out quickly. Also, Glyph of Destruction is pretty key and the faster you can dig for that the better. Some options are Dragon Mantle, Humble Defector and Boiling Blood

I think you should focus on cards like Dark Deal and Ill-Gotten Gains instead of Blackmail and Distress.
I'd get rid of Ebony Owl and Misers' Cage and put in Liliana's Caress.
Waste Not is pretty important. You may need a Diabolic Tutor to get it.

Give it a try. It always takes some test plays to figure out ratios.

You're probably right, overkill. I understand what you're going for with the Carnage Altar, but it's use depends on specific circumstances. Another suggestion would be something like Boomerang, Void Snare, Into the Roil or even Surgespanner for pesky spells you weren't able to counter.

With Dankirk's suggestions, this looks like a fun deck that might actually win sometimes. I don't know about Carnage Altar though. I'd recommend Muddle the Mixture, but it's spendy. Dizzy Spell could be helpful to get more Gridlocks and Icy Blasts though.

I originally had another black creature in the deck and some swamps, but the creature wasn't that beneficial and I would rarely cast Pharaoh, so I went mono blue.

That would be an interesting twist. Don't think I could fit them in without losing functionality though.
