Deck discussion for Vampires!

Looks pretty damn fast and good, but why Pawn of Ulamog?

Pawn of Ulamog is nice because he gives me chump-blockers as another advantage to my sacrifice combo, he's nothing amazing, but he gets the job done.

Not a bad start to your build, have you ever considered running Bloodchiefs Ascension? I've also noticed how amazing fetchlands are with Bloodghasts, and recurring both the fetchland and perhaps a highborn or gatekeeper by using Grim Discovery, which allows you to get a creature & or a land.

Replacing Pawn of Ulamogs with Bloodchief Ascensions sounds like a pretty good idea, and a couple Grim Discoveries wouldn't hurt either. Thanks for the comment! :D

cool but I have always thought nighthawk was a must in any vampire deck he is one of the best three drops ever. I have seen alot of your decks and know for a fact you are an AWESOME builder so perhaps you can hook me up with a little knowledge and tell me why nighthawk dosent make your deck, thanks and again I am more asking a question than making a suggestion,

See, Vampire Nighthawk isn't in here because this entire Deck is really a combo, and if I add Nighthawk, he's bassically going to be the sore thumb of this Deck. Thanks for the comment! :D

This is a real good sacrifice based vampire deck dude. Still, it NEEDS those Pawns in...they're so damn good in sacrifice decks.

My suggestions are as such:

-- Remove --

2 Swamps (your "bomb" will be Pawns at 3 mana, 20 lands is PLENTY!)
1 Vendetta
4 Vampire Lacerator (You should only really use these guys over the other 1 drop vamps if you're playing a RDW to kill-trade their Guides)

-- Add --

1 Blade of the Bloodchief (Seriously, it's overpowered as all hell in any vamp deck, but in a sacrifice-based one...Look, just add the damn thing =P )

2 Pawn of Ulamog (As said before. These need to be in here. Plain and simple)

4 Guul Draz Vampire (Sexy artwork is actually not the best part of this card. With the speed of this deck your curvaceous little Vampire chick is going to become a nightmare)

Also, I'm not really sure why Bloodchief Ascension is in here, it's only when a card goes into the opponent's graveyard...So while it is an OVERALL good card, you'd probably do better with some other choices.

Your suggestions sound pretty good so I'll do them, but I completely disagree with the part about Bloodschief Ascension. Turn 1 Pulse Tracker and Turn 2 Bloodchief Ascension before Combat is such a satisfying synergy, I really just want to keep it in. Thanks for the comment! :D

I've come to the conclusion that I like this Version of the Deck better than the other one I posted, so I deleted the other Version.
