Deck Description

This little piece unleashes hordes of monster Elves with trample. Although potent it has its weaknesses - but I'll tell ya' - it kicks ass most of the time :)

Turn 1: Wirewood Lodge, Sol Ring
Turn 2: Forest, Immaculate Magistrate
Turn 3: Forest, Priest of Titania, Joraga Warcaller, add +1 +1 counter's fra Immaculate (Untap Magistrate via Wirewood) double the counters.
Turn 4: Forest, Doubling Season, Counters on the Priest, and Mercy Kill' him. Use Immaculate on Mister Warcaller = GG
If you want, you could switch Imperious Perfect with Elvish Vanguard - Mercy Kill him when he's buffed whilst having another Vanguard on the field. Oh yeah...

Deck discussion for H'Elf on Earth

I like the idea of your deck. I like how you make tons and tons of warrior elves. I think your deck would be very good for over running and opponent. I think maybe if you put 1-3 overwhelming stampedes into this, that you would have a very powerful elf deck. And thank you for letting me see this. I am going to put Doubling Season into my deck now :D

Thanks for the kind comment. Agreed - this one's potent, but something simple as "Fog" could be the end of it, and, of course, discard ruins the fun, haha ;) My friend borrowed this and went against my Vampire deck. By turn four or so he dealt me 1575 trample damage :-O
And yes, Doubling Season... oooh yeah - expensive, but strong.

i'd play the elvish archdruids over priest they do the same thing and they give ur elfs +1 +1, and at least 2-3 ezuri's. lets think about ezuri 4 a second for 5 mana all ur elfs get overun...with 1-2 archdruids down and all ur tokens u can stack ezuri's ability 3-4 hey mabe 5 times which = +15 +15 trampling elfs O.O.
doubling season is no doubt awesome in this deck just too expensive for my elfs since i like to win on turn 4-5 xD overall pretty good man

Hi J ! thank you for leaving a comment. I do have a playset of the Archdruids but, see this is where my short knowledge in MTG kicks in, I've checked the ability 'Manasource' some time ago, and it stated that this is played at instant speed, where the grand druids are affected by summoning sickness. Don't know if Wizards have changed the mana source feature, if they have I'll switch ASAP :)
Ezuri I don't own, but nice card none the less. Maybe I'll sideboard Overrun until Overwhelming Stampede is bought ;)

Pretty sure that since Priest is a creature, it is affected by sum. sick., and so can't tap--also, Gatherer has errata'd him to not have the "mana source" line: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=5823 That being said, he still comes out a turn earlier, and can be used on others elves--I'll get back to this in a second.

Awesome elf deck here--super fast and super deadly. I'd think about dropping Bramblewood for Taunting Elf. Trample won't matter if none of your creatures are being blocked. I'd also consider finding room for some Wirewood Prides--giant growths on some serious elf juice. Also, if you do both of these, you double the threat of mercy killing: use it to sac one of their creatures (something indestructible, perhaps), giving them the elves, tap your priest, still netting the mana (which druid won't do) drop a pride on your taunting elf, and swing, killing off all of their elves. I LOVE doing this with my elf deck. The only other consideration I might make would be to swap 2x Joraga Treespeaker for 2x Rhys the Redeemed: quadrupling your tokens (with a DS) every turn? Yes, please.

If you get a second, check out my elf deck: http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=103549

Thanks Church, for the nice comment and good advise !
Sadly, I don't own Rhys... yet (!) hehe, but I'll definately keep hunting for some (that is... if my wife will let me, haha) And your absolutely right on the trample part. I have a playset of Taunting - need to go through my drawers first, but very good call. Bramblewood is nice 1C for a 2/2 Warrior plus benefits, but the more I play this one, somehow, the slower she gets...
Bramblewood will be sacked, no doubt.
I'll head on over to you're Elf deck, in a few minutes - Need some coffee first (It's a bit early in Denmark)
Again, thank you !

Hmm... I made a few test with it - in some wierd way, there seems to be too much Mana in it. Concidering adding 4 x Door of Destinies, maybe the Elvish Vanguard to boot.
Any advise?

My Elvish Promenade AND Doubling Season got discarded turn 1:
Opponent: Swamp, Dark Ritual, Mindtwist

Thank you Mashitta :-D I really appreciate that and I'm sorry I didn't go through all of your deck you posted. It was getting late last night, but I'm back on it as of now :)
BTW - the decks you have made, which I have looked at so far... flawless. I can't even begin to imagine constructing decks that way.
:-O

Any ideas on how to improve this?

i really like this concept, and i have a deck much like this one. i use 2 elvish harbingers and 4 jagged scar archers, which would combo quite well with mercy kill.

Thanks man =) I've never played the Jagged Scar's, but I do have a PS a Elvish Harbingers... I just don't know what to replace...
Do you think 8 Forests are too little? I was thinking of cutting the Vastwood down to 2 and add 2 more Forest - Help !

i played through a few hands and i never had a shortage on lands or land supply. the only problem i had was not getting the perfect cards for the mercy kill. that's why i would put in a harbinger in because with the mana gain you could get it in on turn 2 which means whatever combo card you're lacking (other than doubling season and mercy kill) you could put in your hand.

i like that card but i wouldn't put it in this deck i feel that the only way it would be useful would be when it was late in the game and you were looking for a card which you wouldn't really have to if u had a harbinger. personally i would put in a few jagged scar archers because they are so good especially in a deck with mercy kill and doubling season.

Always liked Elf decks since they are easy to build, inexpensive and fun to play. If you are having fog type problems put Hurricane and life elves -Wellwisher and Essence Warden in your sideboard and blow him away literally. A cheese win condition.

Hiya geezer48 =) Elves like other tribe aren't finding themselves with tough decision of what to play with, so yeah - they can be extremely easy to build, but some tend to skyrocket in Price and that's sad, but thank you for your comment. Essence Warden belongs in my current Elf Deck - http://www.mtgvault.com/blckfirphoenx/decks/elves/ feel free to check it out, I'll be sure to return the favor =) I do have a ps of wellwisher, she's is a house in the right deck - thanks man
