well thank you. I thought about old hoofy and how he wouldn't fit because I cannot take full advantage of him here. however, you are quite right and he is pretty much worth it even with only 1-2 creatures out. great input!

thanks a lot =)
hey, nice to see someone enjoying this after all this time. thanks for the input!
why comment then?
yeah, i aint to deep into tournament play myself, but s think that sideboarding is part of a decks stratetgy, and is, as i have said, very vital.I hope you made use of the input, wish you luck brewing on =)if you nare interested, have a look at my newest theros brew:http://www.mtgvault.com/buddelsau/decks/rw-insane-purphoros-burn/
I strongly suggest replacing the chimera with frostburn wierd, it's still a pretty hefty hitter, plays a vital role in defending against aggro strategies and provides 2 devotion for both red and blue.also, you need a sideboard. i know, you want to sort out the mainbord first, but every good deck has 75 card and a good sideboard plan is vital, especially when running a controlish/comboish deck like this. this deck is very weak to control and tempo decks, both can be adressed in the sideboard with gainsay and aetherling against blue control and mizzium mortars against tempo (i would even consider run ning it main instead of skullcrack). turn 2 loxodon smiter is a thing and i cant see how this decks can deal with him ---> mizzium mortars!
2 power in the air for 3 is a good deal, it is quite the clock if the opponent has no flyer and can chump if they have a real thread. also, flashback on this card means you have a second use out of it whenever you need to. thats really good. the more agressive decks (like aristocrats) run it for offense, the control deck for defenseuntil you can go to offense. just try and play it. it feels good. =)
oh yeah i forgot about m14
i know. it just feels better to spent 50$ on three sphinx's revs than on a playset of hallowed fountain. thats all =)once i have the money to spend, these will be upgrades to shocks and duals.
I wonder what we will get against voice in theros.
yeah i realized that while building the sideboard. its in there now.
yeah, shocklands make this deck even better... but i just wanted to spend my money on awesome spells rather than duals that are more often then not played as guildgates anyway^^
turn // burn does a good job of that as well. chandra does more for burn decks, i think.
play experiment one instead of judges familiar, it will evolve of everything you got and apply much more pressure. also, cut the forth rootborn defenses for another loxodon smiter.if you plan on going to fnm with this, remember to get a sideboard as well. in the aggro matchups, consider trostani, druids deliverance and gift of orzhova. glaring spotlight can be a good way to close the game against control and midrange.good luck!
I had put them in originally, but then realized that i cant disable enemy humans, witch are still very dominant in the format. therefore, pacifism is the way to go, i think.
I think you have to decide wether you want to be aggro or midrange. magic is a game that punishes you for not being consequent, and that is your probleme here =)If you want to go aggro, consider playing militant dryad, experiment one and boros elite as playsets and curve into silverblade and smiter.but i really think selesnya is midrange all the way:If you want to be midrange, play the pilgrimn and arbor elf as playsets and consider running faarseek and a single temple garden (will be within your budget i think). then play the smiter, lambholt and silverblade and curve out with armada wurm and silverheart. play all those as playsets.also, consider playing centaur healer and trostani for insane lifegain to counter aggro decks and play selesnya charm as removal....well, all that would make a totally new deck, i know... but you wantet tips to be more compoetitive, so there you are =)
I have a very similar deck, and I run gather the townsfolk instead of lingeriung souls, its just too legit with champion and the falkenrath arisrtocrat.also, I think not having instant removal really hurts this deck.check out my version if you like!
I've been trying to make the servitude work as well, and I really like your take on it. however, i see this problem here:whats your win-con when all of your immortal servitudes are in the graveyard? can happen easy with selfmill and you have no way snatch it back apart from your spiral... which also counters the purpose of the servitude. with this much selfmill, it seems risky to run only 3 servitudes. I think i would take out 2 or 3 of the selfmill cards. also, i would run 2 treasured find to get your keycards back from the grave. =)edit: killing wave might be the board sweep you want =)
Hi, i like your deck, made a similar one.have a look, its alittle more stremlined in my opinion, but see for yourself:http://www.mtgvault.com/buddelsau/decks/t2-bugdet-gruul-aggro/good luck!
hmm. you are right, if you play the charm on your biggest creature, its better than a stack trick with zeganas trigger. haven't thought of something this simple, always on the complicated side =)thanks a ton for the input =
