Alright, this is a very refreshing take on tokens!! I thoroughly enjoy it. Now here are my recommendations: These may cost a lot of money, so do what you can. Thing 1) Replace the two requiem angels with 2 hero of bladehold. Requiem Angel will not be fast enough to give you the power you are looking for. Thing 2) get 4 isolated chapel. thing 3) I think the deck needs 4 lingering souls instead of 3. Thing 4) Timely reinforcements is actually not that fantastic as a play set. honestly, you are almost ALWAYS going to have more creatures than they will, so you are not usually going to get the full effect that you want. maybe cut that to 3? Thing 5) I personally love running 4 doomed and 4 champions. that's personal opinion, so take it or leave it.

Okay, so hopefully some of what I said is helpful to your building! I really enjoy what you have here. Believe me, I know this deck too well. If you want to use my deck as a reference at all, I will post the link for you to see what I came up with! +1 from me my man!

Okay, you can see my updated version that I actually play now at FNM. The main runs two more tragic slips, Sorin was moved to the side (sadly) and stony silence is gone. I highly recommend this variation. you will find tons of success.

To answer your question: Sorin is usually the first card I sideboard out in any given situation. Make sure you run 4 champs, 4 doomed. that's the only way to make sure that this deck runs good enough. the required cards are as follows: 4 Champ, 4 Doomed, 4 Lingering, 4 Gather, 4 Intangible, 4 Honor. Everything else is purely up to you. I find that seven means of spot control is satisfactory, hence my idea of 2 Throats, 2 Banishing, and 3 Oblivion Rings. I have pondered gut shots and tragic slips on several occasions, and I think I may remove stony silence for tragic slip in the side. a much needed change, I think. I think the deck needs 2 vaults, some would argue 3. that is your choice. In a hard fought token brawl, timely reinforcements are essential, so I would highly recommend them in the sideboard. I think I actually moved some of my swords mainboard. I need to update this. thanks for the shout out. hopefully you will have better luck. It will also help to tell you that you desperately need an opening hand with either a one drop creature or the two drop gather. if you cant lay that down, you will be behind.

Another boosted deck. hurray. Dread return is only banned in modern. It is legal, not restricted everywhere else. This deck needs two more cards to even be valid.

No worries dude!! I really do appreciate the comments. I would have felt like such an idiot actually playing her. haha. You know, I have been pondering that idea recently. I may make another deck that focuses on doing that idea solely, but I think I like this one the way it is.

As per MTG Gatherer, you can totally put in the lands from Ravnica or the original Alpha Lands to save a lot of the trouble of getting five different lands. In which case, change the rampant growth to Shard Convergence. I would also recommend making it MUCH simpler by putting in 4 Maelstrom Archangels, who can CAST coalition victory when you deal damage. Just some thoughts!

honestly, because the mana cost is so cheap in this deck, I would recommend taking out one or two lands in favor of two more good spells. the curve can DEFINITELY handle it. solid stuff right here.

Dual lands, if you can afford them. You want to guarantee that you have the approriate mana for any situation. great build!

I think my simple solution is to just say bye bye dark dude, hello archivist. Yea, I started drawing archive trap a lot with confidant.. not good. Glad I made the switch.

Hey, dude. Calm down. I just realized the ruling on her. I didn't make the connection that she would be counter-intuitive to actually drawing the mill win. The guy above you made the connection. I actually thought she was a relatively good idea at first, and now I realize that I was incorrect. And you are right. I see that she is bad synergy.

You don't need to curse to prove a point, ever. No offense. I made a bad call just because I liked one simple aspect about her, and forgot the implications included. making the switch. And no, Dark confidant really does hurt my game plan. I can't afford to lose that much life. I really can't.

haha you are under the assumption that I didn't try him!! Oh, believe me, I LOVE him. In a different type of mill deck, He would be SUPREME! In this mill deck, however, he is slow as molasses. I love the input though, thanks for the comment! It seems weird, but he really is slow.

I don't normally do this, but because I have SO many ideas for this deck, I would recommend that you look at my Sorin, Lord of Virtue deck for some tips and ideas for how to refine your own style here. I think you have a pretty good grip on some aspects, But i will tell you straight out that you MUST run 4 copies of Lingering Souls, no excuse. It is far too good. 5 mana for 4 1/1 flyers. so powerful.

So, take a look at my variation, see what you like and don't like!

It's all up to personal preference, but I am a HUGE fan of Markov Blademaster. Especially in combination with Rakish Heir. A lot of people forget that EACH time she strikes, she puts that counter on. so the first combat actually does three damage, the next turn combat does seven... and so on. if you add rakish heir to that, it is just deadly. Also another maybe would be curse of stalked prey. Not a necessity, but good as well.

I tell you what. The best thing you could do in the entire world for this deck is say goodbye to the swarmlords and skithy for glistener elves and phyrexian crusaders. That will boost your speed, and make this deck supremely painful. I would also recommend mutagenic growth. heck, you can just pay 2 life!!! how can you complain to that?
