Deck Description

BufferFriends: Superfriends (planeswalkers) + buffing

Superfriends wants to overwhelm with walkers and turn tempo into material. This build tries for something similar, but with a minor twist. The idea came from noticing that Contagion Clasp is much more viable in modern these days because its ETB lets you kill some value modern critters, such as Ragavan, Esper Sentinel, the Hierarchs, etc, so it's essentially a 2-drop semi-reliable removal early, then mid to late game becomes viable as a proliferate mechanic you can use on your walkers and buff critters. This idea might not be tier 1, but it's something I want to explore anyway. The rest of the deck facilitates walkers, staying alive, and min/maxing tempo and material.

Synergy breakdown:

Noble Hierarch- lets you potentially drop a walker turn 2, fixes mana problems, makes critters more buff, targets for +1/+1 counters that can be proliferated.

Tireless Tracker- creates its own counters which can be proliferated, creates material advantage, excess lands ups the ETB triggers. Six fetch lands = glory. Basically a win condition on its own in all honesty.

Hard Evidence- keeps the walkers alive, great on turn 1 or top deck, replaces itself, my love interest in magic.

Contagion Clasp- works with everything (see above).

Nissa- creates its own critters, spreads counters which can be proliferated, builds to a hand and life refil.

Narset- beyond the general control goodness, has 30 targets for its abil, so its almost always at least a +0 in material, and with proliferate can be a reliable material machine.

Kaito- spawns critters (counter targets), keeps material, all at speed.

Liliana- more minor removal (combos well with Clasp), recurs your Trackers, builds to a win condition.

Grist- spawns critters (counter targets), some meh removal on top.

Jace- needs no explanation.

Lands- higher land count helps hit that mandatory 3-drop qualification. ETB tapped lands don't hurt this build as much, as there are only six 2-drops, so a turn 2 tapped land isn't crucially lethal. More targets for Tracker, minimized topdecked dead draws.
