Entangle is a fun aura for Obliterator too... check it out.

Yeah, Cathartic Adept was the only decent 1 drop back when I made this for a mill card. With Hedron Crab out now and all the new support for mill, I could use tons of different cards besides Cathartic Adept. Llanowar Elves is one of my favorite green cards ever, but in a 3 color deck, not so much. Birds of Paradise I could see using more of, but I might just redo this deck anyway.

Mimoplasm seems like it could be some fun in this, too bad it wasn't around when I made it. Mortivore and Lhurgoyf are fun, but I donno, i've never been fond of them.

Multi-player casual free-for-all...

Sorry I didn't get back faster, I just realized this was on the front page. I will take a look at your deck in a bit, hopefully you haven't already played your tournament and if you have I hope you did well.

And yes, mind funeral would be fun for this deck, but I'm leaning towards what raginggoblin said and it should probably focus more on damage.

It worked well back when I made it nearly two years ago and it won a fair amount of multiplayer games. I would not recommend it for one-on-one though, but for casual. Fuck yeah!

I agree the deck is pretty damn slow... but I used it for multiplayer free-for-all games and this deck works just fine for that.

I made this at the time Alara was booming and Zendikar wasn't out yet, but yes, Hedron Crab would be ten times better than Cathartic Adept for this deck.

You're right, I should have focused more on damage and less on mill. Perhaps I should use green to ramp into mana faster and still manage to feed the Vultrous Zombie with the mana ramp.

Considering I made this deck two years ago and haven't logged on in a while to look at this stuff I was shocked to see this on the front page. The Vultrous Zombie/Nemesis Combo or with Lord of extinction was something I came up with out of no where and this deck was more for a casual multi-player game. It did well and won the majority of the time. Maybe i should remake it an tweak it some... Thanks to everyone who has commented on it!

It's simple really... Use Entomb, Buried Alive, or Hidden horror to get Phyrexian Devourer and Triskelion into your graveyard. Than cast Necrotic Ooze. Necrotic Ooze will have both of their activated abilities.

Phyrexian Devourer has been reworded to:
Exile the top card of your library: Put X +1/+1 counters on Phyrexian Devourer, where X is the exiled card's converted mana cost.
This is based off Wizards gather: http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Card/Details.aspx?multiverseid=184563
And Triskelion's ability is:
Remove a +1/+1 counter from Triskelion: Triskelion deals 1 damage to target creature or player.

And since due to this rule:
201.4b If an ability of an object refers to that object by name, and an object with a different name
gains that ability, all instances of the first name in the gained ability should be treated as the
second name.

Basically Necrotic OOze is a 4/3 black ooze with these abilities:
Exile the top card of your library: Put X +1/+1 counters on Necrotic ooze, where X is the exiled card's converted mana cost.
Remove a +1/+1 counter from Necrotic Ooze: Necrotic Ooze deals 1 damage to target creature or player.

So exile the top cards of you library until you have 20 or more +1/+1 counters on Necrotic Ooze, then remove them one by one and deal the damage to your opponent.

Thanks man, I've had a blast playing with it. I'm trying to find something else to use in multiplayer to kill everyone instead of this. This is, as you said, a quick asshole move...

No Glory of Warfare or Lightning Helix? Check them out, they are great RW cards.

If you got a minute. Mind checking out my newest deck. I'd like some feedback if possible.

Ever thought about wall of reverence? You could potentially double your life every turn if you have Serra Avatar out on the battlefield.

If you have a chance, check out my newest deck and let me know what you think.

Ahhh, Extraction is every.combo deck's weakness. So needless to say I think I may sodeboard some Pithing Needles for some added protection. As for the Bone Splinters, I agree completely, I've been play testing this thing and that card usually sits in my hand. I was actually going to add some mixture of one drops. Vampiric Tutor, Sol Ring, Mind Twist and perhaps a two drop in Demonic Tutor. Once i get the avatar or assassin the graveyard i'm not in much need of removal spells.

I didn't see a huge need for tutors with all the graveyard retrieval in there. I will definitely add damnation and mutilate to the sideboard. Thanks for the suggestions!

I like the build and I practically breathe MBC on the norm.
Something I always enjoyed using with Necropotence was Ivory Tower with Library of Leng/Spellbook/Reliquary Tower.
Duress is a good card, but Thoughtseize is a lot better. Although I can understand the need to not over spend your life since you are running a Necro engined deck.
I recommend looking into Reliquary Tower since you are running Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth in the deck and Add yourself a Ivory tower too. With the two tutors, and Necropotence, pulling off the combo shouldn't be too hard.
This looks like a fun deck to play and not too much fun to play against. Nice build man!
Thanks for the comment and kind words on my Necrotic Douche deck!

Another suggestion would be to sideboard the "Swords" especially War and Peace for red and white spot removal.

And not to sound like everyone else on this site, but since I've known you a while, do you mind checkin out my Necrotic Ooze deck?

Royal Assassin kind of a fall back in case avatar of woe doesn't make it to the graveyard or stay in the graveyard. Rathi trapper is a decent idea though, i'll toss him into the sideboard. Thanks!
