Rated 5.83? Seriously? I've beat RDW, Jund, Valakut, Bant, Vampires, Allies, and just about every other type 2 deck with this... Are you guys not grasping the concept or what?

I wasn't trying so much to win with the actual vampires. 30 lands may seem steep, but I've managed to play dark depths with out Urborg around those are nothing but dead weight without hexmage around. I considered Nighthawk at great lengths, especially with Sanguine bond in play, but still on turn one playing a dark ritual with 2 unholy strength and Lacerator still punches pretty hard.
Would you rather a drop Nighthawk turn 1 or a 6/4 or at the very least a 4/3?
I've used this deck a lot and i've got a 98% winning record with it. All that extra land just helps Sadistic Sacrament reach is height quicker with Dark Rituals. Besides, look at the Mana Curve, it's high, Sanguine Bond costs 5, Tribute and Revenant cost 6, Sacrament at its peak cost 10. Coffers, Rituals, and 20 swamp help insure you pull these large cards off. They are all mostly game enders anyway. Just try it out...

I thought about that one, but it costs 6 mana, and i'd rather drop Hand of Emrakul instead. Plus it needa to damage an opponent and with all the eldrazi tokens out already, i won't need it. Thanks for the suggestion, but i already considered that one.

I managed to buy one Jace when the set released for $60, the box of boosters i bought was nice enough to have two in it and the 4th one i traded a Sorin Markov for. Thank god my friend has an unfathomable amount of hatred for blue, or trading for that would have sucked. Iona i got in a random booster, Leyline, i got one during the prerelease tournament, everything else i kept my eyes open for deals at my local store and bought them when mispriced or traded for them of other people. The deck is killer. I've been beaten down several times within range of being killed by a 1/1, but then i cast a board sweep and maintain control. It's absolutely brutal. If you play an aggro deck of insane speed, mulligan until you have a board sweeper in your first hand. Small creatures add up quick these days.

If money is an issue, you can't go wrong with Royal assassin right now. He's super cheap. It's a far cry from when i started playing just after Fallen Empires and before Ice Age. He used to be $20. I also suggest Sadistic Sacrament; very under rated card there too. It can completely shut down combo decks and you can get them for less than $1.

Not a bad set up, but if someone drops an Iona on you and claims red, you'll have a really hard time winning. I suggest Royal Assassin as a "wall" because it's so under rated these days. I'd also swap your refuge lands for their current dual land brothers (drowned catacomb and dragonskull summit). I aslo see no Nicol Bolas, Planeswalker. That card alone is Grixis Control. Overall it's neat idea, just needs lots of tweaking.
