Ye there was a thread about that one earlier, I have now tested it, and I'm afraid its just a bit slow, although you made a good suggestion

I'd be surprised if it was allowed that turn to be honest, it can't protect itself, crater hoof technically protects itself by ending the game!

Piper however is far too soft, as a 1/1 it, and I hate to say this, dies to all the removal

Oh sorry, yes you are correct in the 4/2 break down, yes it does seem very easy to deal with, when we came up with it we thought it wouldn't work, then we played Abzan game one and we won, and it wasn't a fluke because we carried on winning, Command is good, and if they have it they have it, but hopefully we can just about slip under

I have tried Summoning trap, but Chancellor? I looked at Vorinclex, but Craterhoof ends the game the turn it hits (usually). Really glad you like the decks!

Godsire popped into my head too, but the issue is it doesn't dodge removal and takes a turn off to make an 8/8

No actually, its dramatic entrance, it is Green because it has Green mana in its cost, same with the Hellkite

Well from testing, I'm afraid you're wrong about that one, I've got 6 ways to cheat guys in but frankly the rack is a rough match up. The largest counterspell in modern is Remand and that only sets back a turn, so I'm not so worried there. Surprisingly the Abzan match up has been really quite easy so far, but there are always going to be ways to crack the combo because otherwise it would be well known. Slaughter Games and Extraction aren't really used in modern that much, and Progenitus is gonna dodge most of their stuff, remember that I can still cast Entrance on t5 if they board wipe me, I just have to alter my play style to counter that. Painter is a good card, but I don't want to be needing 3 cards to combo rather than 2, its just not as good. The draw engine hopefully gets me out of anything apart from the most dedicated rack decks, but that is a match up I lose, so I'm not going to waste time adding a 5% win increase because its not worth it considering the tightness of the SB

I've never had someone be able to deal with a Progenitus, there is no point in dramatic entranceing Xenagos and I can't entrance Emrakul, also I need fewer cards to 'combo' with to win when with Progenitus. The deck has been performing at its best with Progenitus, he was the main plan, because he flat out wins on his own, You'd be surprised how quick you burn through your hand and the difference between needing one and 2 cards is so crucial, otherwise I'd play Painter Entrance, but after my mate and I came up with both, they aren't as slick

Actually, most of the games are won without the combo, Ive only done that once ish, xenagos atarka is an easy to disrupt combo and just feels a bit week, I prefer Progenitus, he is just better at staying there and gettng the job done

I have to have the 3 lands in hand, that is the big issue, because then I only have 3 cards left in hand. I've said in a couple of threads I really want to avoid being a Nykthos deck, And I want to avoid another colour to be honest, I'll go take a look when I've got a minute! Got tonnes of essays tonight!!!
