Hope you don't mind Jim, but I've just started writing an article series and I thought it would be relevant to your viewers! http://www.mtgvault.com/gothy/decks/brainstorming-get-competitive/

U/W heroic is probably the next cheapest option, my mate and I threw it together in an afternoon

Usually I read SCG, but all my favourites (except CVM) have gone to premium... I'm looking at you Tom Ross!

After the success of the deck, I was planning on doing some articles (Along with a solid deck) about how to get competitive in magic reasonably easily and how you can improve your game, can I get some opinions on if people want that or not please?

Path to exile is the BEST removal spell in modern, hands down, bolt is a 1 mana 'Your early game is wrecked' Brimaz is absolutely amazing, and dragons and thragtusk are vastly superior pretty much every card in the deck, What would you rather resolve, cobblebrute or thundermaw hellkite when opposite 4 lingering souls tokens and a tarmogoyf?

Good standard that isn't expensive is really tough, aggro is probably the best way forward, and thus you should build Boss Sligh, so simple to use, I don't think it needs a single rare! Just play tonnes of 1 drops (Akroan Crusader, Satyr Hoplite etc) and then stuff to target, dragon mantle and titan's strength etc

No, it can be done, its just better to splash colours, and then you might as well play Abzan or Mardu!

miracles is best (although most expensive) in legacy. If I were you, I'd be building Tron or Storm

KJSJ3 is right, I can't play control to save my life (Literally) and my midrange decks are usually rather aggressive, I can do simple combos, Legacy Storm I can do, Modern storm, too much maths!!!
