No counterspells? I think you're on a budget but Kiora would be good in here i think. Alternate win condition with 9/9 Kraken? Hall of Triumph to make your squids bigger? Imagine they kill theskuller? You get a ton of 2/2 instead of1/1. Jace's Ingeniosity draws you 3 cards at instant speed. Zameck Guildmage may also be a draw engine. I like the idea. Great design!

I also have a Nekusar deck but the problem is that it's hard to get that LAST point of damage in. I added both Mogis, God of Slaughter and Keranos, God of Storms to push the damage. Dictate of the Twin Gods might hurt you too. May I suggest Gratuitous Violence? It only affect YOUR sources of damage. You can also taxes your opponent's mana by using Phyrexian Tyranny. Yes it affects you too, but with this in play, you just go "Draw, go." and they loose a bunch of life or tap mana. Blue Sun Zenith is also a kill card with Nekusar. You target them to draw X cards and take X. Nin, the Pain Artist is also nice.

Read the Bones. 2 Connections would be enough. Take out the 3rd Read the Bones and maybe 1 Grizzly Spectacles to add 2 Devour Flesh.

What is that new card in Journey Into Nyx that "Whenever you scry, you may pay 2. If you do, ... deals 2 damage to target creature or player". Too much mana? Not worth the investment I guess?

It looks like a cool Angel Tribal deck. Nice design. Devour Flesh could be could to remove early drop treat / mana dorks. Yes they gain life but that is irrellevant due to the fact your Angels are quite heavy hitter. Plus you can use those early kill for your Beckon Apparition. How about Underworld Connections for card draw?

The whip is good by itself, I agree, but you're more an aggro/control deck and you kind of don't care about the life gain. Your goal is to sacrifice your opponent's creatures via Act of Treason effect and I think Bubbling Chauldron works better. It cost 2 generic and 1 to activate. Whip cost 2BB and 2BB to activate. That is a lot of mana I would use on something else, like Act of Treason to end the game quickly. Plus, what are you going to whip out of your graveyard?

First, if you want to play this deck in the current Standard format, Sunpetal Grove & Brushland are not legal. You need to use Temple Garden, Temple of Plenty and/or Selesnya Guildgate to replace those. The Guildgates are pretty cheap if you are playing on a budget. Seed of Strenght is also not legal in standard but yu have Reap What is Swon that does the same effect. You have room for something else now :) Oblivion Ring too isn't legal in standard. Banisher Priest does almost the same effect but it's a creature that can target only creatures. Make those changes and I think you can put up a fight very well.

Note that Sylvan Primordial is now banned from the Commander format. Avenger of Zendikar maybe to replace this guy?

How about Jace, Memory Adept? He mills 10 cards per turn and you can draw cards for +1? Urban Evolution for draw power and additionals lands?

God's Willing should be main board. It saves your creature + triggers Heroic.

I would take out the Showstoppers for some burn spells, say Lightning Strike. Also, the Drainpipe Vermin is nice but Tenacious Dead fits way more with your Tymaret / Blood Bairn (Lots of damage by saccing the T-Dead to either of these and bringing it back and repeat). I would also bring in your Shadowborn Demon into the main board. This guy packs a bunch and with Tenecious Dead around, he ain't going nowhere. I'd play Bubbling Chauldron over The Whip. It's a sac source and you gain life out of it.
