Actually, if you're splashing in green, why not Thragtusk?

I did state the fact that the Standard Metagame is like rock-paper-scizzors right? Control beats Midrange, Midrange beats Aggro, and Aggro beats Control. That I know already. I also said it was with some exceptions. Here, when Control goes against aggro, I know Control has somewhat of a chance, It just SEEMS that control doesn't have a chance. I'll be honest, of course I have beaten aggro decks like this before, but still.

Yeah, I can agree with your second paragraph where you said "The exact opposite argument can be made for aggro players out there who hate being against control because it's mean and un-fun." True, when aggro cam against me, Verdict did come off sometimes XD. I kind of felt bad for the guy who went aggressive, unless they used that stupid Boros Charm.

I feel you man, I'm playing a lot of options that involve control, currently the 4-color mil which is ridiculous, but somewhat appealing. I always fear that the deck I made doesn't even stand a chance against these aggro decks. Like I said, I don't want them to leave, I just want to tone them down, as I keep saying.

I also assume Unflinching Courage is another great counter to aggro decks? And should be sideboarded?

OK, well you have given me quite some hope against those king of decks now, and I thank you for that. Now that you kind of compared Aggro to Thragtusk, you kind of make me want to get 3 more Thragtusks, even though that seems like a bad idea because they're going to cycle out. Thragtusk for Theros? Man, I wish now. About those answers to Naya Blitz: Supreme Verdict I can kind of think about as a nice counter, but all the rest seem.....well neh. Far // Away to activate both effects costs 5 in which Naya Blitz can kill you on turn 4. Even if one of the effects were activated, Far would only send one back, which is kind of bad because Burning-Tree can re-add mana and Lightning Mauler can give something else haste. Away does make them sac a creature, but don't forget THEY get to chose. Terminus can be effective, but only if you're lucky. Doom Blade? Well you got me there, unless they're using Jund Blitz which has black creatures. Sphinx's may let me gain life, but it's more of a late game card than something to activate for the sake of defending yourself. Obzedat? Alright, a 5/5 that let's me gain 2 life when it enters, and then it would have to disappear in order to re-use it's effect and even if I keep it on the field, a 5/5 will block only 1 creature, but not the rest. Aetherling? Eh, decent option. That is, if you can get it out. However I do like the way you say Thragtusk is broken. I like that! Now if only my new card shop would make them $5 and not $9.

Oh god, Naya Blitz......

Maybe you want to take our the Silverblade Paladin because it's just not fast enough for the deck. Having to cost 2 white for Naya Bltiz I feel isn't worth it. You'd be better of by playing more fast-paced creatures.

Oh man, I love how you put in the Xathrid Necromancer in this deck, just sac 6 Shadowborns in the deck and now they're all 2/2 zombies. Nice! Maybe more Blood Scrivengers because I see this deck running out of your hand more often with all the Shadowborns being played. I don't know, really, this deck seems almost perfect!

Is Heartless Angels a deck or a card?

Manaweft is so broken, you HAVE to get it out early because then you'll start spamming more slivers and more and more!

If thats a slim possibility, then is there any way of the deck winning on maybe turn 8? Certainly, you'll need a deck that can get it's win condition dealt with early so that the opponent doesn't have a nasty scheme that ruins it all.

Yes. More Forests are decent because of...well more chances with playing Manaweft.

How about Heartless Summoning to play your big dragons faster at a cost? Getting Innistrad stuff is risky because of the block change, but still it's a very cheap card that might be able to help.

Out of all the ideas I've seen with Archangel, this is most certainly the way people should run Archangel. The only risk, however, is running a lot of things from innistrad when the block goes away on September. It's a good deck, but risky if you don't have the actual cards.

This may seem like a ridiculous option, but how about Dutiful Thrull? It's a 1-drop that will constantly die and give blood artist the upper hand. It can block aggresive ground creatures and regenerate with barely a problem.
