Why don't you like prognostic sphinx? Its pretty much everything a control deck wants in a win con (though its not as good as aetherling or pearl lake ancient which are even more resilient win cons)

If its because its more expensive than angel, and won't fit under 20$ then theres stuff you can do...
If you want that then, cut medomai and angels, add in 4 prognostic sphinx, and 2 weave fates or some kind of cheap card draw.

Prognostic sphinx is a great win con . 0.61$ a card. it can protect itself, filters draws, has evasion, somewhat decent power, big body for blocking.

Np, I was just bored and wanted to help.

Never made a 'budget' deck before, I just find some cards are out of my price range and dont include them... That being said, I'll try to help as best as i can.

If you want to cast anything over 2 on time, you'll probably need 23+ lands... at least in standard ive found i get stuck on 2-3 lands for so long sometimes, so i really wouldn't try to cut lands.

Main question I have is, how are you planning on casting illusory angel? t4 magma spray then her? t5 lightning strike or tormenting visions? If possible, I'd try to replace that, not sure if its supposed to be a blocker or a win con but you cant really use counters to get her out.
In her spot, I'd try something with flash, like cloaked siren(0.13), hushwing gryff(3.13), jeskai barrier(0.15), pearl lake ancient(1.15) so that you can use your counters on their turn or play your threat eot
I'd go with jeskai barrier if you want blockers, and cloaked siren if you want a flyer

If you just want a hard to deal with flyer, you can try cloudform. It has a smaller body than the angel, but it can come out 2 or so turns earlier.

Another thing you could try is adding some more card draw to find your end hostilities and other gas cards. Treasure cruise should be cheap and should work pretty well. you are mainly running sorceries and instants that fill up your yard so you should be able to fuel it pretty easily.

I hope these suggestions help.

yeah... rotation... I never did get to play it either.

as for FRF mechanics there aren't really any really good ETB effects that i can think of
Sandsteppe Mastodon and Sandsteppe Outcast are probably the best in WUG
Whisperwood Elemental is good value
Yasova Dragonclaw is good in the right build..... might work wonders with jalira actually (assuming you have enough mana -> steal a creature, attack with it, sac to find a leviathan)

I just played in an FNM going 3-0-0 (with a bye) then split for prizes with my current work in progress : http://www.mtgvault.com/icooper/decks/uw-siege/
was missing some cards so thats not the exact list... but it did decently well

heres a first pass. Its a bit heavy on the 3 drops side.
Jalira will find a resolute archangel or stormtide leviathan on any activation and hopefully that can just win the game.
cloud form with citadel siege for a growing flying hexproof dude can win you the game just as easily

Yeah, i rarely get input on my decks too, though I've stopped publishing most of them as well.
The last Jalira brew i had was before rotation so not the most relevant thing right now http://www.mtgvault.com/icooper/decks/jaliras-wurm/
I'll try again soon.

Fair enough. I guess for other stuff to fit in your theme, you could try the new Temur Sabertooth. Its a big creature, and you can bounce stuff when you want to.

Hello there fellow Jalira brewer.
I'm sorry to say, but I feel like you should go with more tokens/legendary creatures/manifest spells instead of the utility etb creatures
My reasoning is:
Jalira is best used with a few bomb non legendary creatures aka win-cons (probably hornet queen) with token producers/legendary creatures
This makes any activation with Jalira.... a win (you get the creature that will win you the game everytime)
In this deck, there are some tokens, but also a bunch of other non legendary creatures. This decreases the consistancy of your win-con as any random creature can be flipped and put onto the battlefield ( you could get a quickling with only jalira out making you spend 2 more turns before the next activation)

so changes: add cloud form and lightform. brimaz and daxos if you own them

Thats just my thoughts, Good luck with the deck

Yeah, they are M15. I should have put standard tag in; thought once they added all the M15 cards, the legality thing would be updated, but i guess that will happen next week

Sadly Exquisite Blood isn't in Standard. Vizkopa guild mage has sanguine bond as his second ability already.
otherwise i would have it :P

Im a bit confused: Isnt Naya Red-White-Green? Then add blue for Jalira? so 4 colors?

Yeah, i have another deck in experimental mode - Boros lifegain - http://www.mtgvault.com/icooper/decks/purphoross-pridemate/ and I'm finding that I just want to cut the combo pieces more and more :( Especially since its a more aggressive build.

Commented on your deck, I think your deck is probably better at comboing off while this one might just win/lose with tokens before I have a chance to.

Oh cool, I never thought of that.
I think Obelisk of Urd or hall of triumph could be something to consider to buff up the elemental tokens?
with obelisk you might be able to cast a master of waves w/ ~5 devotion and then an obelisk for free

cant negate a supreme verdict :( but thats what rootborn defenses is for
but you can negate a...sphinx's rev, d-sphere, banishing light, azorius charm, devour flesh, hero's downfall, doomblade, elspeth... hmm
What would azorius charm do for the deck?
What about mizzium skin against removal?

Im going to try a 4-2 split. the GGG cost of Chord might be a bit awkward to cast really early.
Font is bad, I think its barely playable in limited.

Thanks a lot for the support. I do think has improved quite a bit with your suggestions.
