there is also a possible combo with draw a card when you gain life and another card that lets you gain life when you draw a card. don't remember the name of it.

I looked him up. 16 a playset is cheaper than I expected it to be. I was thinking unblockable with direct damage or so.

I would totally build the deck different using this guy.

I have just started to build this. I basically took a bunch of creatures that do damage when they die or come into play. I added support cards to use for sac and life gain. Any suggestions helpful. I haven't really dug through the gatherer database yet.

fixing to what I have cuurently in deck. I went 3-1 last fnm . Beat one elf deck and lost to the other. Jitte took me down, so I am thinking of sideboard or main some sac to destroy artifact elf or green spell. I also don't have any priests or gaea to help with mana pumping joraga. Something to work on. I am also thinking of adding the new g/b glimpse from dragonmaze.

Too slow for an elf deck unless this is just for casual play.

I went back and read it again. makes it ramp a little faster with the angels. I put boros charm in my exalted to help against destroy and for the double strike. I have fling sideboarded also.

How does exalted stack from the angels? Once a creature has an ability, it doesn't receive it twice. Maybe I am reading things wrong, but that is the reason I didn't go with the angel.

Another thought I might do is Blood artist and something with a sac trigger. Everytime a board wipe comes then sac all for blood artist. It would draw some removal spells away from other creatures.

Thanks for the input. I wasn't sure if a lot of creatures with something like grave purge would get past control. I am thinking of splashing red or blue for use of charms.

Thanks Derago, I think I have most of the mainboard for the flashback. I haven't even looked at enchantments, artifacts or lands for the exalted yet either.

My original thought was, like yours, to have more control added in. I am going to see how many cheaper cmc control I can find.

I forgot about Arrest. I was digging around late last night and trying to see some I might have missed. I am also looking to keep the price reasonable since I don't normally do standard tournaments. I want to make three decks for my boys and I to play in an upcoming tournament. I do have arrests and sign in blood, but I didn't buy a lot of the last 4 sets. Rootborn does help vs a board destroyer, wich I think is exalted worst case.

a playset off ebay is at $20. It is nice, I just don't have any. If I come across them, then I will pick them up. I think the value of the champion would increase if it was unblockable. Tormented soul has hit pretty hard with the dozen of matches so far.

I was looking to do something similar but don't have the dual lands for standard. I ended with b/w aggro http://www.mtgvault.com/johnkaldar/decks/exalted-bw-aggro/. I will def revist if I end up getting some dual lands, because blue sure helps with counters.

Here is some other cards I am looking at for sideboard. I don't have many standard cards since I do mostly casual and legacy.

I am not sold on the value of the angels that is only giving two other creatures exalted. I would see the value if they were used with more creatures/tokens without exalted. My use for the angel would be token generators to quickly boost a creature while the angel is in play. I am thinking there is small chance of getting both non-exalted creatures out at the same time and less benefit than dropping a couple of tokens for a quick boost.

That said, I do like the idea. I am looking to build a standard deck for a tournament in a couple of weaks and have been focusing on w/b exalted. I like adding blue for the revelations and board wipes though.

I am going to use your deck as a starting template for a possible standard deck. I normally play casual or legacy and haven't bought too many of the latest sets. I have about two weeks to work on something for a tournament. Not expecting a win, but want something respectable.
