Everyone said not to build a mill deck... that it wouldn't work. This was my response. It's not top tier but it also isn't a flop. i have a lot of fun playing it and there are a lot of interesting interactions.
There has to be responses to cards like Ulamog that reshuffle graveyards in to libraries so there are several things that will spot remove from graveyards as well as flat out exile all cards from graveyards. Mill itself can be quite grinding so there are combos and high synergy interaction that allow for instant wins or heavy advantage.1. Aphetto Alchemist + Illusionist's Bracers + any mana rock = infinite mana2. Aphetto Alchemist + Illusionist's Bracers + any creature (with phenax in play) = infinite mill3. **Personal Favorite** Undead Alchemist + Altar of the Brood = a big mess for creature heavy decks. Potential game winner. Not to mention the tokens.4. Mindcrank + Duskmantle Guildmage = infinite mill and damage5. Mindcrank + Syr Konrad = mill and damage persist until creatures run out6. Eater of the Dead + Phenax = mill until all creatures gone or all opponents dead7. Jace's Archivist + Notion Thief = loss of friendsWhen facing a deck that has little to no creatures in it, save Telemin Performance for that deck. Once killed a Zur player on turn 4 that had no creatures in it.The side board is all cards I'd like to playtest.
