I think I will write a longer version of this story, about the original 5 Planeswalkers. Could you tell me who the first white Planeswalker was? I know the other 4.

After that ... why not a Ravinica story! It might take a while, and a lot of research. I couldn't just look for the Planeswalkers names. Would you be interested in helping me out when I get to it?

I wrote it all myself. I just love Jace (and Gideon). There is so much about him that one can glean.

He attended the Tolarian Academy, so he is a master artificer and mage and thought architect.
He was a researcher, into what I don't know.
He either studied under or knew Urza, Mishra, or their war machines.
He is a f(r)iend of Garruk (I prefer to think of Redirect as banter, not an insult).

Gideon had martial training under Boros (Maybe before he was a Planeswalker).
Gideon knew Aurelia very well and ranked high among the Boros, since a subordinate would NEVER attack a superior's Ideology, much less an angel, much less Aurelia (don't mess with her). In fact, you catch really see that they are friends (or more ...) on the card Assemble the Obzedat, where the seemingly fearless angel tells Gideon that she fears the Obzedat.
Gideon didn't agree with Boros (or at least Aurelia), probably because of their "break stuff, ask questions later attitude, especially against the Guildless rebels, whom Boros fought brutally (though some Boros held a grudging respect for the rebels).
And the funniest inference ever, which I found on MTG vault: The loss of power and gain of "destroy everything" from Gideon Jura to Gideon, Champion of the Sun (I think he defected to the Guildless, which is supported by the fact that he is mono-white) are symptoms of a breakup. Therefore, one can Plausibly assume that he and the Boros general Aurelia were romantically involved.

P.S. All this is inference or extrapolation from cards.

Untrue. Vampire Nighthawk is simply amazing. Lol, works with everything. So let's see .. it has flying, deathtouch, lifelink, vampire type ... AND it's a 2/3.

Here's a lesser known combo based on it's shaman status. Thornbite Staff. Basically, you get infinite doomblades, and the equipment has NO equip cost, so ... it's 2. AND Nighthawk still attacks.

If you like Orzhov, Frontline Medic and Vampire Nighthawk is amazing. Or Silverblade Paladin and Vampire Nighthawk.

It's not a bad idea to sideboard Vampire Hexmage.

Bad moon might be good, if you want it. Seems too much like Honor of the Pure ... Who wants White?

Oh, on a different note, you badly need some removal and draw. Altar's Reap and Doom Blade (or expirate) are good choices and will really help your deck move faster.

This is an excellent fist deck.

I suggest you drop the token idea. It is good, but it doesn't fit well here; you have only 1 creature that sacrifices. Some other vampires, like Vampire Warlord, etc. work with this strategy.

Here's my plan:
- Genesis Chamber
- Bloodthrone Vampire.
+ Thornbite Staff
+ Vampire Nighthawk

Now you still get buffs from your many vampires, but through destruction of the enemy!

The land is really important, due to the awkward need for large amounts of white and black mana.

Draw some hands and call it slow. It's not that bad for a midrange deck. If you want to grill me on something, it should be the deck's size and diametrically opposed natures.

Granted, this deck is not as fast as aggro vampires, or vampires in general. Oh well, since it's not a vampire deck.

Speed is sacrificed for the theme. If I wanted, this would be a pure vampire deck except for Frontline Medic and Silverblade Paladin.

It's called madblind mountain. It needs to be in an all red combo .... Like Countryside Crusher and Elixir of Immortality! Thanks dragon!

They say it sucks ... looks like we are going to prove them wrong!

Or you could go Library of Leng, Reliquary Tower, and Lycandros' many cards.

Yeah ... but what if treasure hunt picks up those spells and not the other half of the combo? If you want to add other spells, you can't use this combo as well.Heck, treasure loses it's OP nature as a deck search + draw card.

On the other hand, why not make a land discard deck? Wheel of sun and moon would be amazing. Trokair is great for a sacrifice. Basically, take all the discard cards, lose treasure hunt, and replace it with Countryside Crusher.

I like it. You have found a use for my own cache of Goblin Grenades. More importantly, I love the synergy and flavor of the deck.

Here's Some Fan Fiction for You

Chandra Nalaar and Jace Beleren eyed each other cautiously. They stood on opposite sides of a great chasm. At Jace's back, a forest gently sloped down to a small cove. Behind Chandra, there was an arid and sun scorched plain, rising to meet the jagged red peaks in the distance.

Jace whispered in the mind of the other Planeswalker, commenting on Chandra's "hotness" and asking here if she had any "to spare". Despite herself, Chandra could not help but be mesmerized by the mellow voice of the Mind Sculptor. His voice was like a brook winding it's way through a quiet fen.

Then Chandra realized exactly what Jace had said. Angered by her weakness as much as by the content of the message, erupted into a whirlwind of flame, obscuring the mountains behind her with fire and acrid smoke.

Red-faced, Chandra cast a great spell, yelling,"You're in luck, I brought enough to share!" (Flames of the Firebrand)

In that instant, she swore she saw a smile hidden Jace's poker face and the hood of his cloak. In hindsight, Chandra realized, that bas**** had been goading her.

Chandra let out a shriek of pure fury, and rained still more spells down on her opponent. Jace remained impassive.

As the fiery red missiles streaked across the chasm, closing the distance to their target, another set of eyes peered out if the forest, watching.

Right before the fiery projectiles impacted, Jace acted. His hands glowed brilliant blue. Chandra's spells seemed to hang suspended for a moment.

The eyes opened in awe and admiration.

Jace let out a deep chuckle.

Chandra suddenly realized her mistake. Letting out a stream of curses, she turned and fled to the mountains. Jace decided to give her a head start. She almost made it.

Chandra never felt a thing. One moment she was flying away, the next looking down on the massive inferno she had intended for Jace.

It was so pretty ... but Chandra realized she would now need to get her extra body. THAT would hurt. Damn that crafy blue mage!

************************

Garruk Wildspeaker walked out of the forest from where he had watched the battle to stand by his friend at the edge of the chasm. They stood regarding the inferno in the distance for several minutes.

Without looking away, Garruk whistled, and said, "Remind me never to duel you. You think you could show me how to do that?"

Jace smiled and replied, "It's actually quite simple, but since you've only recently begun to walk upright, it may take some time to explain." (Redirect)

They laughed together for a long time.

I can =). Remove all the fancy lands save for fetid heath and add Orzhov Guildgate. That will knock 100$ off the price. Student of warfare can be replaced with Serra Ascendent, which is a direct counterpart to Gruul Draz Vampire.

Alright, Thrummingbird is pretty good.

Mr. Infuser is good. I wish his ability was s little bit stronger; 2 counters would be good, but not over the top.
