Oh, I know it can't go here. It's just so awesome.

Seattle. Default season: autumn.
Or Banisher Priest! Hey, she needs A use.
Bring Arcblade along, so you KNOW you can hit first =).
This is difficult...I got it! Arcbound Overseer!
Now THAT's American! =).
Oh, and a word of caution ... Electromancer does NOT affect anything other than the casting cost of the spell. He will not work to cheapen Splice, since it is an alternate cost, and does not result in the spell being cast.
Sorry ... the combo truly is breathtaking. Splice onto mana abilities isn't too powerful, sadly. Otherwise you could steamroll with this deck.
And if you want your combo to work, I won't just bitch.Use Goblin Electromancer.
No. The combo does work.
Oh really? What about through the breach? It is easy to counter.
So .... watch out for counterflux and cyclonic rift.
It doesn't matter which goes first. The desperate ritual still will generate it's mana after you need to pay the splice cost of From the breach. You pay for the spell when it goes on the stack, which is before any spells on that stack even think about resolving. On the bright side, I found a more efficient way to execute the combo!Tap 2 MountainsGain 2 manaCast Desperate Ritual or Pyretic RitualGain 3 mana (net 3)Cast Desperate Ritual or Pyretic RitualGain 3 mana (net 4)Cast Desperate Ritual or Pyretic RitualGain 3 mana (net 5)Hardcast From the Breach on emkraulThe crux of the argument: splice can't target a resolved spell.Since Emkraul is NOT being cast, the spell cheating him can be countered.
Sorry, but no. I will try to be straightfoward. The Pyretic Ritual is cast. It resolves. You gain 3 mana. You cast Desperate Ritual. THEN you must pay the splice cost for Through the Breach. Desperate Ritual has not resolved yet, so you still have three mana.Basically, to cast through the breach will also cost you a desperate ritual that won't pay for itself, since it goes off after the stack resolves. It would be cheaper to hard cast through the breach. You guys are missing the point of splice ... it doesn't work to cheapen spells, but allow you multiple uses. The best option is to cast 2 Desperate Rituals, then splice twice with a third. That's 6 mana, since each casting nets you one. Then cast Through the breach with a hard cast. This would be 5 needed cards. 3 Rituals, Through the Breach, and Emkraul. I don't mean to be mean ... only point out that the combo is s little more complicated than it appears.
Thrummingbird?
Doubling Season ... ugh. That's just mean.
Hmm ... there's one at 3 CMC
And America would NEVER support the Eldrazi!
Umm ... that's a $***load of ramp. Why not ramp into Spawnshire?
Yeah ... he is so much fun with big creatures.
