why not running Mana Leaks? It's always a powerful card to have in a deck. espacially Burning Vengeance.

Ruinator is a nice idea, but even if you decide to put some creatures into the deck, Ruinator requires 3 additional creatures to exile. You may get him just once from the grave and then what? 5/6 Flying from the grave is good and all, but he is incredibly vulnerable to most if not all the kills spells in the metagame.

Snapcasters are ALWAYS handy in BV decks. I runs Grixis Vengeance and Snapcaster really makes it a lot easier on you.

Splashing in green would really work with the high cost of most of the Curses. You don't really need Koth in the deck because even though I see you are running mostly basic lands, it also makes it slightly harder on you to get the lands you need since the most important lands for the curses are black.

Try this deck build?

Vorapedes would be a great spot in mono-green. for 3 green and 2 colorless you get a 5/4 trample, vigilance, and undying.

you should run stirring wildwood. manlands are always a good investment.
And you do not really need equal on forest and plains since you have birds and joraga to easily produce more green. and im sure you can find better enchantments than primal cocoon.
if anything, you can run Journey to Nowhere and/or Arrest just to get your opponente's creatures away and still get a draw from the spirirtdancer. or maybe use Nimbus wings. +1/+2 and flying never hurt for anything.

Use Praetor's Grasps, probably 3, and use 2 Wurmcoil Engines. Lashwrithes wouldnt hurt too since your deck is monoblack.

Other than Tezz, you do not have any black in here. So unless you want to put in some black kill spells. you don't really need the swamps at all because the duel lands will pretty much take care of that for you.

Personally, I would take our Battlesphere and Thopter Assembly and replace them with another Blightsteel and another Wurmcoil.

try running some contagion engine too. and fuel for the cause would be a good counterspell you can use to proliferate your planeswalkers as well.

And I would take out the gold myrs and run 22 lands just to be safe. replace the 4 gold myrs for 2 plains and 2 dispatches.

Instead of Kemba Skyguard, you may as well run Leonin Skyhunter. its a 2/2 flying for 2 white. you dont really need to gain the 2 life from skyguard.

Personally, I kind of want to put at least 1 more Tec Edge in here.

Put in life's finale instead of Damnation so it will be standard.

Oculus still makes a good early blocker as well as providing a slight draw power. And I dont really need search power with the amount of draw power I get with this deck.

You should replace the Inquisitions with Duress. Bewteen Duress and Despise you can make your opponent discard anything except land. Also, try putting in Gatekeeper of Malakir

Try to get a hold of Mana Leaks instead of Psychic Barrier. And I would also recomment using Xenograft to turn all of your creatures into Golems. That way, even the Splicers get a little bonus from themselves.

Also, take out Blinding Souleater and try using Precursor Golems and come protection spells like Apostle's Blessing.

Use Surge Nodes or Vedalken Infuser instead of Coretapper and you can easily make this deck standard.

I've actually tried all of that out before. Most of the key cards in my deck are blue. And I don't play against a lot of other control decks in my area. So most of the time, my dual-lands are safe. On top of that, usually, my the time someone tried to destroy my lands, I usually have enough. Sphinx is actually the reason I can manage with this deck the way it is. I draw massive amounts of cards and reload my deck with Elixir almost every turn or whenever needed. And he's a pretty buff flier.

Actually, I would run more Feast and Famine. In my personal opinion, it is the best of the swords.
