Fog Bank has defender so can drop a creature set for it. That is done. As for adding the Sands of Delirium. The trade off isn't worth it. The charms are much needed negation.

Opposition is simply for insult to injury. There was a World Cha[ionship Deck years ago when i was a kid that was called Squirrel Ops. Infinite Squirrel tokens and Opposition to tap everything your opponent controlled.
"I'll make 1 Trillion Squirrels and Pass Turn" , "Ohh you have 15 permanents?" , " Okay, on your upkeep I'll tap everything you have"," Aww you played a land how cute... Tap it.", My Turn? I'll make another 1 Trillion Squirrels and pass turn...

I like this. Keep working it and revising it. I want to see how sick you can make this. Play test, play test, play test. Gimme details.

Add a Sideboard , tell me how to play it, Give me a deck description.

Going to 4 Bumps and adding 2 mana is so/so. I may back it down after playing some more tonight. Last night I stomped Dimir Control pretty good. In earlier versions having 22 lands and and the higher curve (3/4) still wasn't right. I am less afraid of this damaging the curve. But for anyone wanting to play this as is, or drop the lands and the two bumps. It will run fine.

Actually. He is missing Opposition, Druid's Call and some other cards, This is a twist on a very old deck. +1 though.

Only running 20 lands in a 62 card mana curve 2 deck. I upped to 14 Swamps. Thanks for the suggest. turn 5 in this deck is only a game ender when Lord of The Void hits the board and gets through for 7. It takes until turn 7 at least with 1 Crypt Ghast on the field to go infinite.
The card your talking about I believe is Immortal Servitude 3B/W and X. Return all creatures with converted mana cost X to the battle field. Yes, I have a play set. Will I make room for it even in the side board? Not currently. the Decks mechanic has yet to be perfected.

Wight's are in the Sideboard because they will screw with one particular friend and fellow player who plays Re-animator and seems to get school girlish as he plays mulch.. The others have either come out of the main deck or will fall-out/off as stuff moves from main to side board.

Mutilate is necessary. some times it is needed, sometimes it isn't. Having it as a Reset handy has never hurt. It has survived the revisions going on number 14.

funny you say that. Version 5 side lines Devour flesh and an O-Ring. Adds an additional Tragic Slip and four Bump in the night bringing main board to 62. But since I am only adding 1 mana spells I do not see any damage to the curve.

I would have to say the absolute best "adds" to this deck in no particular order are:
Mutilate , Smite, Tragic Slip, Bump in the Night , Sign in Blood, Exquisite Blood, Merciless Eviction, High Priest of Penance, and Godless Shrine. That reset button is just far to precious to walk away from.

*It should be noted that many of these are because of comments made from people here in the MTG Vault Community.

Isolated Chapel is about to fall off. No point in spending another $60.00 for cards I will use for another 4 months. I recently returned to magic and Just wont be back flagging very many of the cards from sets leaving Type 2 or sets that have already left Type 2. Some cards just are meat and potato's in the block. So I am sorta committed to picking them up. If you look at the deck it is pretty much Core and Gatecrash.

12 Damage for four mana is far to tempting to pass up...
I think Devour Flesh and an O-Ring are gonna go away.

The Screecher is OP. 1/2 for 2 with extort and flying.
The Syndic has meat on his bones. a 2/2 for 2 with Extort still isn't bad.
I'm iffy on the parasite even though its 3 less mana used to drop 3 Parasites than it is for Syndic. having another 1/1 versus something with a little more bite on it....

Also, If any of you build this. Practice, practice, practice. Then swap Lord of The Void for Obzedat. If you can handle managing extort correctly, you can handle managing him.

Bump wont be flashed back. Its 3 dealt and extorted. Could care less about flashing it back.

The combo is there to support the extort component, not to be the "I win button". The Guildmage on her own and the Exquisite on its own do a lot for the extort mechanic. It just so happens they can technically go infinite. I never play this with the goal being "get the combo". It can happen, this deck survives very well on its own without it.

Anyone who plays this for the combo your looking at the wrong deck for it. I wish Blood Reckoning was more broken than it is. Else I would go back to running it. I am also contemplating removing the Devour Flesh for Bumps main deck and the DF's side board. Will run this on Friday officially and see its results. Saturday/Sunday/Monday are usually my heaviest revision days.

I can name all kinds of combo's more broken than this. Recall / Balance , Stasis, Squirrel Ops, Teferi's Dream, Yagamoth's , Thalids / Spores, Slivers, Merfolk, Hell playing a Moat is more broken than this.

Cruncher... A better (and more honest response)

What I need are better side board options. I can't drop Tragic Slip and all the cheap removal because I need cheap spells to extort them multiple times. Run this through in your head as if turn 4 Crypt Ghast isn't hitting the board. turn 5 is 2 white sources and 3 black sources. for a total of 5 mana.

At most I have two to three extort in play (ignoring blind obedience as a potential extort in play on turn 5). Cheap spells are how the little engine that could "gets there". If Duress was a better fit and a better choice It would be in here. But that moves the Deck in another Direction. Obzedat seems like a logical choice until turn 5 and no Crypt Chast. This deck is passive aggressive. If Knight of Obligation was 1 cheaper he would be in over the Screechers. The Screechers though are arguably over powered. a 1/2 flyer with extort for 2. If Syndic wasnt even more so OP for the Extort build. He would be the next choice.
I have a play set of every Gate Crash Orzhov card at my disposal. Card limitations are not the issue anymore.

When I had Obzedat in Dying Shades I ran only one as a play test, I really think I'm the problem here and not Obzedat. Extort is already a difficult and cumbersome mechanic to play properly. Its heavy mana management, heavy spell management, and heavy permanent management on both sides of the table. When Obzedat was in Dying Shades, I just couldn't keep up with him and get him exiled properly. This is the most patience trying deck I have ever made.

This deck is a bitch to play because you have to have so much awareness for everything.
You can't miss a single extort opportunity, you must sacrifice casting an additional spell sometimes to extort for 4,5 or 6 instead. You have to eat the 3/3 Beast Tokens damage, because your "Winning" in the extort game just until you get the removal to take care of him and Boros Reckoner.

The absolute most dick headed asshole combo in this deck is not the Guildmage/Exquisite. Its Smite+Tragic Slip, Its Extorting both of those four times and Its having Exquisite Blood on the Table and Gaining double life on the extort. No one plays Orzhov because its a bitch to play and its a bitch to get it working properly. Its clunky, cumbersome, exhausting to play and even though no one has a sure fire answer to it if you don't have a solid build it falls apart on you like the 11 other versions before this one, this version works VERY VERY WELL. (So Far) 6 games and no losses against Top 8 Decks.
I myself have thus far 12 revisions to this deck alone. 9 being the Dying Shades version of this and 3 more being Merciless Orzhov.
I will have this ready for Miami and Tampa.

There is way to much going on in the Bee Hive of Extort to lose an Obszedat to stupidity. Until I get a better handle on playing this without taking 3 minute turns (3 min and I'm the guy who built the damn thing... /shrug) Lord of The Void is a less taxing creature to deal with. All of this sounds simple on paper right? Extort your spells. duh.

Play it. Then you will see how often you forget to count your extort sources before you cast, and play it properly without going oops I should have extorted that... or waiting till the spells resolved before extorting (illegal), keep a running total of mana available, mana in pool, and mana spent in your head and accounted for with counters when two crypt ghasts are out. Trying to manage white and black sources. Manage Godless Shrine pumping for 1 white and 2 black on the tap. Its like peeling an onion backwards.

Those of you who want a simple, easy to play, deck need not apply. This takes knowing the cards well, knowing priority two turns down the road, knowing when to and how to extort properly, intense mana pool management. Knowing when to block and knowing when to eat the damage.

With all the rule changes since i returned , especially to combat i wasn't certain that I could use smite to save a creature before damage was dealt.

Godless Shrines are also expensive... Even when though I was an ass hat and sniped them on Ebay @ $5.00-$11 each.
If anything he should sell his Isolated Chapels and pick up the Shrines. As far as Type II is concerned.
Collecting wise, keep the Chapels, the Shrines value will plummet once they rotate out.

I see your goal here, looks nice.
Drop the Sanctifiers for Guildmages (you have Divine Favor already)
Add 3 more Exquisite Blood.
You have enough here in various forms to trigger. Vizkopa / Exquisite

You could EASILY get this back down to 60 and still make it a pain to be attacked.
the crazy part is you do not have to. Your mana curve is so low that I would encourage you to add 4 Sign in Blood or four Mentor of the Meek, just to keep cards in your hand and ramp up the amount of enchantments in play added per turn. 48 one and two drops. 16 being creatures leaving 32 enchantments.

Its a good start but you really need to up to 4 Sphere of Safety <--- your Shield / Protection Condition
3 Exquisite Blood , 4 Vizkopa GM's , <--- Your Win Condition
cut a lot of these x4 down to 3x and 2x <--- Unless the enchantment deals damage to opponents life total then leave at X4.
Those Enchantments will Trigger your win condition.
