i have always had a soft spot for the soul sisters. might i suggest spirit link as a substitute for rancor? it stacks with lifelink because its not keyworded. also Life goes on as a lifegain spell. consequently it also works well with kami of false hope.

i dont think the contagion clasp is doing enough in this build. maybe swap it for era of innovation?

all very good. might consider a sweeper, like mass calcify. also, bloodforged battleaxe is pure gold. overall, i like it. also, i never knew skyfisher existed. its a strictly better whitemane lion. thats definitely going in my mono white flicker deck.

Dragon hatchling, and dragonmaster outcast. Both early game, but the dragonmaster is also obscenely good late game. He's also a removal magnet, even though he's a 1-drop. Never a dead draw. Hope this helped!

Nice deck! Personally, I think slumbering dragon is better than dragon egg, but I think that's just preference. And did you consider thundermaw hellkite? Its kind of a staple.

Frog tongue? I get the feeling those birdies are gonna kill you. That's all I had for thallids though, sorry.

I think you should take out the trap instants. One tutors for the other, and the other doesn't do a whole lot. I'd say add cunsuming aberration and sign in blood. I know it doesn't mill, but it draws you more of those precious mills, and it triggers consuming aberration!

Consuming abberation! I play a guy that has those in his bolas control deck. Got milled pretty damn quick.

Love thallids! Love saprolings! These are easily my favorite creature type. You should try replacing thallid germinator with thelon of have wood. Its not quite the same, but the buff is permanent! Also try replacing siege wurm with sporoloth ancient. And if you do that, sporesower thallid is a must. And for flyers, what about gravity well? Or raking canopy? Or both? Dragon gets gutted by branches before collapsing on the forest floor, only to be finished off by the little root creatures that live there. Mwahahahaha!

I forgot about mind stone! Hadron archive is very clunky, but in here it might do pretty well. Guardian, meh. But it would work if I'm going to put in the metalwork colossus. Thanks!

I'm brainstorming a pseudo-affinity, pseudo-budget modern deck, I could use some help balancing the pieces.

Okay, I must admit I don't really know the goal of this deck lol. This looks like a lot of confusion and fun. I'll let more experienced players help out. +1 though, this is a really cool idea!

I'm looking for more cards that interact with cards that interact with saurian. It gives more versatility that way. I wasn't keen on those other cards anyway. But you really should consider helvault. Turning those switcheroo spells into super cheap removal would be a huge advantage. And you could always keep some mending touchs in case they do decide to bomb the saurian. Mending touch should be there no matter, since it is such an important piece.

I like it! I found some cards that would go well with this.

First: I discovered something very interesting about creatures you control. You can exile them for far less mana than exiling someone else's. And if you get yours back at eot, why not exile them?

Synod sanctum, helvault.

Second: with all these exchanges going on, why not get better benefits? You're going to get your stuff back anyway.

Sky swallower, spawnbroker, yasova dragonclaw.

Those last two may not make much sense, but if you're getting the other guy's Terra stomper, swinging with it, then exiling it, that guy is probably gonna scoop. Hope this helped!

Yeah, the wasteland is pretty expensive lol. Just thought I'd mention it. Anyways, after you get omen machine you don't need the tron, so maybe you should add a mana sink? I was thinking spawnsire of ulamog. Put thirty or so desolation twins in SB. Note: there is no rule against having more than four of one card if it's not in your deck!

So, man's crypt might be fun here, if you're willing to fork the money. And spawnsire of Ulamog is pretty inexpensive, but you have to have one helluva sideboard. I prefer using desolation twin over endless one.just a few thoughts.

Wasteland is strictly better than encroaching wastes, FYI. And you might enjoy planar portal.

For anybody on here: I'm fairly active and I will probably comment on your deck if you ask. My expertise is combo. Of any kind. I've even made several original combos of my own.
