Thank you. Sorry if I was a dick about that. I hate it when people trash my decks without telling me what I am doing wrong. I am more of a control player in standard right now. Once I finish revising it for journey and prepping for m15, ill give you a link.

Thanks everybody for replies. No offense meant but Mr. Pendulum: please check out my new deck description. I would love to know why it is "sub-par". Later I will make an actual golgari aggro deck. The reason I called this aggro is because a deck like this I faced was called the same thing.
While we are on this topic, progenitus. Not standard, I know. I like the idea by the way. The problem that I see is the fact that most of the gods don't have very good synergy with each other. That being said, I was thinking about doing a black white red deck with a heavy focus on God interactions. The reason is that purphy deals damage when a creature enters the field, athreos recycles them or gives a player a bolt to the face. Iroas protects your creatures from chumping. It isn't perfect synergy but it could work. Let me know of any other interactions you can think of. (Especially if it involves kruphix. I was one lucky dude on gameday. I pulled two kruphix and a phenax at the prerelease.) Oh yeah, purphy, keranos, and mogis, the gods of lifepoint ping.
Ok, thanks. I thinking the hammer might be too mana intensive but now that I think about it, I have dorks that give me any color mana.
At first, when I saw meliorate in the deck I was like "is this a new take on melira pod?" But this deck is so much better and cheaper. When you get a moment could you take a look at my fun casual swing and fling deck? While it is just a deck built to have fun, I dont want it to be destroyed in every matchup so ill take some suggestions before I actually build it irl. http://www.mtgvault.com/mordial33/decks/swing-and-fling-giants/
Hey Gibbs, its Steven. I remember that you said you were looking for some of these cards. I don't run boros colors very often so id be more than happy to part with some of this stuff. I have one assemble the legion, one medic, two akroan hoplites, one silence, three massive raids, a shit-ton of gleam of battles, one firemane, and if you have any cards that piques my interest, a reckoner. As for suggestions, I would run cathar's crusade over gleam. It is a five mana mono white enchantment that puts a counter on every one of your creatures when a creature hits your field. I would also try to find a spot for lightning helix. A two drop instant that deals two damage and gains you two life. Either that or boros charm for spot removal and combat utility. Mizzium mortars should be sided because of its utility as either spot removal for two mana or opposing fieldwipe for six or seven. (I don't remember the overload cost.) Aurelia's fury can help you get in extra damage and split it between creatures and players. (It is an x cost spell.) Overall though, pretty sweet deck. Check out my fun modern swing and fling deck when you have a moment. http://www.mtgvault.com/mordial33/decks/swing-and-fling-giants/
Id put in a couple of mind grinds because you wont always be able to kill with just the zombies.
As far as playability, id say iroas that was spoiled earlier. He is perfect for the boros four drop slot. As far as which gods philosophy I agree with it would be karametra. I feel that life is all about goodness and growth even though it doesn't seem like that sometimes. She has good stats which reflects that when she needs to she will protect what she promotes.
He uses shamans because he is guaranteed to have material in the opponent's graveyard to use the abilities for. That being said, caryatid is a great card, but in this deck, shaman is better.
I second this. Just saying.
Four of them guarantees that he gets it. With all of the enchantment destruction in today's standard, it rarely becomes a dead draw. Since most of this deck is kind of aggro control, and all the lifeloss, he will greatly benefit from the lifelink. But in order to maximize on its unearth effect, he should put in at least two gray merchants, at least sb them even with the five cmc.
No problemo
No problem man. Any time you want me to check out a deck, just send me a link.
I think so as well since he is allowing the lorwyn planeswalkers because they have a version that is rare. He said to post the deck with the original version, not the mythic version. (It is the comment above xynphos' comment.)
I agree with the first one and third one and with the idea of the second. Because you are starting out a 15 life, mulligan's can be sepecially damaging. Something I have thought about with this format is the fact that most of the mulligan's occur because of lack of lands, even when the hand is great. I don't know what y'all think about this but once per game at the beginning of the game starting with the turn player, they may pay two life, search out a basic land and put it on the battlefield (counting as a land drop) then next turn, any player who did so must pay one. mana or sac the land. The first suggestion of kmk888 could work, and then 1 life each subsequent 5 card mulligan. What do you guys think?
That makes sense.
I like this. Elf tribal is always fun. Drove of elves could be helpful. Elvish branchbender makes one of your forests into a creature with power and toughness equal to number of elves you control.
You should try a Bob microdeck. Dark confidant ftw
Glad we could help.
I like this guy. That being said, when these decks have all singleton cards, everybody is going to be looking for the most efficient cards and those cards tend to be expensive. See deathrite shamans. He broke modern before he got banned. So I agree about the budget thing. It is all up to you though simic. By the way congrats on the hot page feature.
