Interesting way of thinking about it. This would help change the way newer players perceive the game, but I don't know how helpful it is for more advanced players.

Does 4 Dig Through Time not seem a bit excessive? Your not going to be able to Delve all of them off.

Agreed on Inquisition, it hits nearly everything in modern. Unfortunately it's 6 dollars a piece.
I forgot to add, Wrench Mind. Check it out.

Am I missing something? How do you cast Dictate or Karametra?

Liliana has quite the rack.

On a more serious note, why no Thoughtseize or Inquisition of Kozilek? You may also want some early game defense to save you too such as Ensnaring Bridge? So good in a build like this.

Well think of it this way. Why would you buy the crap cards and harm your budget when you could just save for the good cards in the first place? Better that way.

Guttersnipe is a tad bit too slow. Consider Grim Lavamancer if anything. Or maybe even Goblin Guide. Mizzium Mortars is also way too slow. Drop it for something else. Maybe the last 2 Warleader's Helix. Btw, this is starting to look much better. I can tell you looked for these cards, are you actually planning to buy it though?

I'm going to evaluate this card by card.

Isochron Scepter - Meh in this deck. If you truly want to keep it run 2-3 of.

Galvanic Blast - Weak burn spell unless you utilize the metalcraft ability which you have failed to do. Wouldn't run it.

Guerrilla Tactics - Like Galvanic Blast, it's just too situational and your not going to be able to get the extra ability off. Just a medicore burn card.

Hidetsugu's Second Rite - This is meant for a deck that uses burn cards that you can control how much damage you deal to them to ensure you can get them at exactly 10 life. Too situational for this deck.

Incinerate - Just another mediocre burn spell. Meh

Lightning Bolt - Best burn card ever printed. Always run 4.

Lightning Strike - Meh

Magma Jet - Okay card if you just desperately need to scry.

Shock - Meh

Lava Axe - Bad card. Too slow and sorcery speed makes it just awful.

I would do as the guy at Tom's said and transform it into Boros burn. With this you gain Boros Charm, so much damage for a 2 drop, Lightning Helix - Survivability with a Lightning Bolt attached. and all the SB options white has. Personally, I think it has the best SB options for modern out of all the colors. Oh yeah, Path to Exile exists.

Other than that, Vexing Devil, Lava Spike, Eidolon of the Great Revel, Skullcrack, Shard Volley (don't run 4), and Rift Bolt are all powerful cards to consider here. Some almost strictly better. Skullcrack vs Lightning Strike for example.

EDIT: By god man, you only need like 20-22 lands. Knock those down and get to 60 cards before I hit ya.

Does Sublime Archangel not get in the way of your battalion creatures? Seems a bit counterproductive.

Agreed. I told him not to keep it, didn't give any reasons why yet though. This pretty much sums it up.

Headsup, I can trade you a playset of Isolated Chapel when I get my shocks and fetches for my tokens.

I don't like 4 Shard Volley. You may have a very low curve, but you only have 19 lands. You don't want to have to sacrifice 3-4 of those seeing how that may be all you see in a single game. Other than that, looks fun and suicidal enough.

EDIT: Where you get those mountains?

Look like you just about hit the nail on this one. Looks decent and is a unique take on the Soul Sisters variant. You may want to look at the card Martyr of Sands though, it's not uncommon for that thing to gain 9-15 life on t2.

You also may want some dual lands that tap for black so that you can flashback Lingering Souls if need be.

EDIT: Your sideboard looks a little too much like my mainboard. http://www.mtgvault.com/mtgel33t/decks/budget-soul-sisters/

Brave the Elements. Holy Day is just a Fog. With Brave the Elements you can save yourself from certain forms of boardwipe, block majority (usually all damage) and kill some stuff in the process, or use it as an offensive card and burst through somebodies defense.

-3 Brainstorm, +3 Spreading Seas and you have a modern ready deck.
Spreading Seas also utilizes the islandwalk feature from your squid.
