did you have any problem with your lands? there are many that come into play tapped...
have you considered treasure mage?
i would put disentomb instead of rise from the grave. disentomb costs 1 and all creatures except wurmcoil cost 2 and 3. so with the disentomb you've got 1 mana less unless you want to return a wurmcoil from the graveyard

very nice deck.i've been thinking to build something around the architect and tezzeret. instead of brittle effigy and the contagion clasps i would put some vedalken certach and thrummingbirds
have you considered to put 2 garruk for the 2 overwhelming stampede...?
want to add a creature with 1cmc...which do you think fits best?
both cards are very good...gonna replace them with aether adept and guard gomazoa
yeah i want to keep it standard and the engines where by mistake in there...:P replaced them with everflowing chalice

garruk would be a nice choice for this deck. it gives you another win condition with his overrun and his +1 is always helpfull
tempered steel doesnt target so it still can give a shroud creature +2/+2

does the etched champion get the buff from tempered steel when it has metalcraft?
i like it and plan to build something like that, but your only win condition as i can see is if you cast tempered steel. so i think i'm gonna put some battlespheres and steel overseers. what do you think?
