I agree that the slagstorm doesn't fit too well. i run a grixis deck myself and I find that it can be very hard to pay for sometimes. I use pyroclasm instead. It's only R1 and deals 2 damage instead of 3, but it serves its purpose for clearing the field early on while still leaving a mana or 2 open for a counter.

I think you're running way too many of the SoM lands. I would cut it back to like 3 darkslicks and 1 blackcleave. then maybe add 2 drowned catacombs and 2 dragonskull summits. Also, running 4 Scalding Tarns while you only have 4 actual basic lands isn't such a great idea.

I agree that the sphere of the suns would help, but the clasp doesnt seem to fit into this deck since the only thing it could target would be the sphere. However if you do want to add the clasp, i think it would be fun to stick an Ajani Goldmane in here since you can proliferate the counters that he gives other creatures. But again this isnt necessary for the deck. Its just a fun trick to do

Also I notice that you're running 65 cards mainboard. I personally try to never go over 60. this ensures that you'll see all the cards you need more often. Since you're running the 4 birds AND the fertile grounds, I think 25 mana is a little unnecessary. You can cut it back to 22 lands and you should still be good. You dont want your hand to get cluttered with lands when you need answers

I dont really play unstandard decks but i'll throw my 2 cents in anyway. More split lands will make it easier for you to pay for all of these multi-colored creatures (glacial fortress and sunpetal grove). I would also replace the llanowar elves with Birds of Paradise. The fact that they create a mana of any color will help you out a lot, and they're still a 1 mana drop which is great. I would also drop the Asceticism and run 4 mana leaks, then bring the Into the Roil's down to 2. But thats just because I love mana leaks. I hope i helped

This looks similar to my deck but i dont use white. also its looks like you have way too many counterspells. I run 5 at most and it works great for me. I also maindeck 2 mindslavers to combo with wurmcoil or hellkite. Preordains help a lot too. And mine uses tumble magnets with birds for more control

I like it. I would suggest Just two small changes though. First, switch to ub so that you have access to Tezz. And second, I'd swap out the artisans for voltaic keys. If you can get that key on the welder then you can pretty much shit out infinite 9/9 golems.

This is cool and all, but you'll get this combo down maybe 1 in every 1,000 matches. The cards you need are never going to appear perfectly like that. Also your deck is very fragile when faced against cards like DoJ or Doom Blade. It looks like a lot of fun on paper, but I just don't see it being practical.

Well the battlements and sea gates can take a good beating early on and ate game I can just counter anything too threatening or bounce them with Jace. This deck has nice ramping abilities so Frost Titan makes an appearance very early on

Very interesting. However, I would add overgrown battlements in place of the companions, and maybe some acidic slimes in place of the pack leaders. The battlements just help with mana and the acidic slimes destroy your opponents lands. Training grounds are also questionable. Maybe some Lotus Cobras if thats not out of your price range?

Very nice. My friend runs a deck similar to this and his is really effective. He has blight mambas in there though. You could also do without a lot of the infect creatures that you're using now. Also, the deck needs more pump spells. I like the vines but it doesn't need the groundswells. Use the pumps that have rebound like Prey's Vengeance and Virulent Swipe. Also add livewire lashes. It is a very underplayed card in my opinion, and works great with infect creatures since they deal damage in the form of -1/-1 counters

Here is his deck list

Thanks man. That really means a lot. And I originally had the Engines in because they're awesome cards and I love them but I felt that they weighed the deck down a bit when I drew them early game. I've been thinking about side boarding them against aggro or swarm though.

Seems like it would be worth it to me if you managed to get your berserker imprinted. Skip main phase 1. Attack. If they declare blockers then you activate your vat and give everything first strike. if they dont block then you can use that 4 mana during your main phase 2

Make it 60 cards. Side some Bojuka Bogs. Pick either 2 Kalitas or 2 Dranas. Drop the sage. Add another Sorin or 2. Needs Viscera Seers to be used in combo with Ghasts and Kalastria. Um... I'd drop the blade as well. But thats just me. Drops the feasts since you have a lot of removal already. Replace with dark tutelage. Lacerators aren't a bad idea either. And pulse trackers
