WOW... ...you use too many stuff here you shouldn't, at least not in the main deck... ...3 Nullify, 2 Negate, these are more sideboard cards... ...may be 1 Nullify in the main deck, or 2 at most, but Negate is totally sideboard material... ...drop Banisher & most of your creatures, in fact, you need to drop all creatures & add 2 AEtherling along with some Elspeth... ...you also need to run 25 land, get some duals & use 2-3 Mutavault!......Lots of no good cards here besides the creatures & from a lot of stuff, you only run 1-2 copies wich makes the deck highly unstabil... ...this one has to be completely rebuilt... ...use Detention Sphere if you can get 'em(3-4 copies), 4 verdict & no Cleansing in the main deck, 'cuz it kills off your Spheres, but you can run 2 in the sideboard... ...you need more Jace & Revelation if you can get 'em... ...Azorius Charm!!!....Here's my Azorius control, it might help:http://www.mtgvault.com/poetmasterx/decks/sphinxs-verdict/

Thanks!Ultimate Price isn't really good against Devotion decks either, because they play 8-12 hybrid creatures, but he's good for instant 2 mana removal against several threaths...
True, it's different everywhere...I play at multiple shops & even multiple cities... ...the place where I play the most at is extremely competative... ...especially standard FNM-s... ...the players here are skillful in both the game & deck building... ...here, FNM decks are usually better of those you see at the pro-tour & GP-s, because we all strive to perfect what professionals started & we also come up with our own types of decks... ...I've come up with an R/B/W control-midrange deck, that's different from the midrange you usually see at tournaments... ...I don't play Reckoner, nor Whip, only removal, draw, discard, life-gain & big creatures... ...I kinda fuse the creature-set of Rakdos control & Orzhov midrange... ...the deck beats any other control deck(even tough I can't always use my removal properly before sideboarding), it usually beats mono-black, red & blue, it's about tie with my Gruul-Devotion, usually beats Bant decks, & it has the upper hand against both Selesnya & Boros aggro... :)http://www.mtgvault.com/poetmasterx/decks/desecration-mortars/
I mean, casual play, not tournaments... ...meaning I don't use this deck for nothing, just threw it togeather of what I didn't use... ...I have a huge collection of cards, because I'm playing since 1999, so it's easy enough to trade for the cards I need in standard... ...I don't buy any of these cards, I just get them, so it doesn't matter how much they'd cost this way.......
It's not my actual tournament deck, I wouldn't even take it to one, since the curve is a little off here... ...I just put this togeather for casual...I play Gruul Devotion most of the time...
Surprised to hear... :)
I'm dirty aight', but I'm no bastard... ;)
This is quality & stability!
Pretty good now, despite the mana base... ...9 white mana won't do it... ...you need 12-13 of it... ...if you don't have any more dual lands, than -3 mountain, +3 plains, but I recommand 9 dual lands total for this deck(4 Foundry, 4 Temple, 1 Gate) & than you'd need 4 plains & 10 mountain... ...tough I would try playing 2 Mutavault here... ...if you do, than have 10 dual lands, 3 plains, 8 mountain & 2 Mutavault!......Sideboards: 2x Revoke Existance; 1x Searing Blood; 1x Stormbreath Dragon; 1x Boros Charm; 2x Burning Earth; 3x Skullcreak; 3x Brimaz, King of Oreskos(or Boros Reckoner - easyer to get); 2x Chandra, Pyromancer...
1 less Thoughtseize & no Reap Intellect at all(at least not in the main deck) - it's usually too slow against most decks...1 Jace is almost pointless in the main deck... ...I'd use more... ...1 Vraska is good, 2 won't make this better... ...1 Eviction in the main deck is fine & 1 more in sideboard... ...Kiora(2) is needed... ...1 more Detention Sphere as well.......3 Render Silent in the sideboard is too much & for a 4 color deck, I won't even use it at all, or rather only 1 copy... ...1 Swan Song is better & you need 3 Negate... ...may be 1 Dispel, but not sure... ...may be 1 more Bile Blight, but not sure about that either... ...1 Putrefy & may be, just may be 1 more in the sideboard is good... ...use 2 Far // Away & may be a 3rd in the sideboard.......You need more green mana, 8 ain't enough... ...you need 11 or 12... ...you have 16 white, 15 blue & 13 black... ...14 white, 14 blue & 13 black is enough & than you could have 11 green....... :)...also, I'd use 1 less scry-land & 1 more shock-land...Good luck!
You're right...I already toke this deck apart... ...I haven't played it at any tournament... ...I'll try to make a new version soon, that's better balanced... ...I've made this long be4 BOG camee out.......
Kiora is nice against Gruul as well... ...& for the early attackers, Courser is a perfect blocker, so is Caryatid... ...Counters & Simic Charm slowes the enemy down, I can even push back a creature with Charm, than counter it... ...when I get Bounty out & able to get value out of it, the opponent won't get through my tokens & grown creatures(+1/+1 counters).......
Actually, I don't play this deck at tournaments, since it's pointless to try with mill now in standard...I'm sorry for my arrogance saying that your deck is rudimantary!.. ...I ment the mana base & the instability of the deck, not the idea...Here's the deck I play the most nowdayes: http://www.mtgvault.com/poetmasterx/decks/colossal-dish/
I've seen your deck... ...I did not know what to say, because I'd change about every single detail on it... :)It seemt rather rudimantary...
Thanks!Tome Scour is a waste of space in each deck... ...it doesn't impact the game at all most of the time... ...Pilfered Plans works out great for me, since I need the draw to have enough removal & mill-stuff both to deal with resellient decks...This deck flips off the fast aggro versions of Gruul, because I have even Dimir Charm to deal with the Ooze early, or anything else that comes early & I also have Essence Scatter for that as well as Doom Blade, Ultimate Price, Devour Flesh & Syncopate...I've alwayes found Trading Post underpowered...I prefer a mill deck to be creatureless & be able to deal with any offense the opponent could bring...I love the fact that the life-gain from Devour Flesh doesn't really matter with this deck...All I regret is that I couldn't put Thoughtseize in the main deck...
Thanks for your thoughts!
I have no idea...
Than you ment he's not playable at all... ...not standard playable means he's not legal...In some kinds of decks, Tromokratis is useful, tough I admit, that he's not too brilliant in this one... ...however I don't run this deck at tournaments...
Urban Evolution/Fanatic of Xenagos...Any other thoughts?..
He's from Born of the Gods... ...check it!..
