I understand, that U don't like shcoklands, expecially Evolving Wilds... I used to dislike it too, but in a 3 color deck, 1 or 2 could be a strong stabileser & in a control deck, it's not essential to play a fast game... Tho this deck is still pretty fast :) ... I also like shocklands, 'cuz the land I search for & the land I sacreficed both gone from my library, so in the late game there is a smaller chanse to draw land(s) at the wrong time... ...& still, I have the number of lands in the deck to make almost sure I'll have a fine opening hand & a stabil start... :) If U play casual, it's understandable U dislike shocklands... I'll check your decks later today... :)
Man... 65 cards... Curve high as fck & only 21 lands with 6 lands couldn't give U any color of mana... Sorry, but this is so F-ed up I can't suggest anything, 'cuz this has to be completely recontructed... U gonna' need experience of building decks & playing tournaments... Good luck!..
Ok... The idea is genius, but the curve is much horroristic, than beans in my hot dog... Drop Mastery, Worldspine, 1 Tamiyo & 1-2 Jace... I would totally drop Tamiyo, or leave only 1 copy of her in & add 2-3 Armada Wurms, but only if U take out 1 or both Niv... I'd use Mizzium Mortars is this & I would drop Thragtusk, since U don't play any flicker spells, like Restoration Angel & such... Make sideboards! Use Rest in Peace, Oblivion RIng, Syncopate &/or Dissipate, Sundering Growth & may be Electrickery... Negate pherhaps... Well put togeather! I like the choise of cards... However, the curve is just about horrible, no matter the ramp... U will have your mana creatures taken out in the early game by Tragic Slip, Izzet Charm, Pillar of Flame, Electrickery & such... Drop Trostani & Zealous!.. Make sideboards & put Zealous there... I think Mizzium Mortars would be better for this deck, than Bonfire... U'll smash the opponent by your creatures, so the only thing U need to take out R his creatures... Use 4 Charm & 4 Hunter... I'd use 4 Pilgrim & 2 Arbor in this, 'cuz if U have no Temple Garden, U won't be able to add white mana by the Elf... Make sideboards!! For example: 4x Rest in Peace, 3x Oblivion Ring, 2x Bonfire of the Damned, 3x Sundering Growth, 3x Electrickery... The deck looks nice, but why using Think Twice in a deck U play no miracles?.. It's about useless here... Instead, I'd use 1 more Talrand, 1 more Charm, & 2-3 Hypersonic Dragon, or may be Thundermaw Hellkite instead by taking out an Unsummon, if U'd use 3 rather than 2... I won't use Essence Scatter... Use 2-3 Dissipates in the sides... ...it's nice against grave & better than Syncopate... ... Imagine: Syncopate with X=2 cost as many mana as Dissipate... Drop the Invocation from the sides, if U don't play it in the main... May be U could use it in the main &/or 2-3 Talrand total... If U have the time, I think U'd like my Grixis control... Drop Estwald from main & Grizzled from the sides... Blasphemous Act hust doesn't fit the deck... U'll destroy your own creatures as well each time U use it... Use Mizzium Mortars instead!... Use 4 Mayor... Try to get some Huntmaster of the Fells & Garruk Relentless... Insta' Gang is not a bad card & I understand it's a huge part of your rampage idea, but it's not worth to play in a competitive squared circle... Depends on how strong of players & builders U have at your location & other places U usually play, or plan to go... I'd use Daybreak Ranger as a sideboard... Slaughter Games is the only weakness for this deck... Mizzium Mortars could be messy too, but I could easily counter it... Tho, Even the Skyknight could be a finisher, so I'm not that woulnurable to the Games... I'm gonna' add Geist of aint Traft tho, 'cuz I need some more creatures... May be taking out my big creatures, or only 1 of tham... ...The 1 I take out should be Isperia... ...& an Oblivion Ring, may be a Charm, or Rift, or Dissipate... Thragtusk is not a problem, since I play Terminus, Supreme Verdict, Detention Sphere, Oblivion Ring, Cyclonic Rift & Azorius Charm... The tokens won't stay for long enough :) ... U R right... I have just about not enough creatures, so I'll fix the problem... THX!..
YO! THX for your suggestions! :) Snapcaster would be kinda' useless here... ...won't do much... Tho, the Geist is considerable... Slaughter Games is the only weakness to this deck... Well... May be Mizzium Mortars also for a bit, but I would counter it easily... I'm not relying much on Entreat the Angels, cuz even Lyev Skyknight could also be a finisher, not mentioning my 2 big creatures wich could be taken out by a single removal, but if U play it at the right time U won't have any problems... No... ...but my ever most succesful standard deck "Havenfire" was inspired by Hayne's... That deck won me 12 FNM-s(7 without the loss of a game) in 5 dufferent locations in 2 different countries & a Grand Prix... Well put togeather! I really like the concept!.. What concerns me is the fact that the mana base is a little instabil... Use only 3 Vigil, 21 lands with a little more duals... U have quite some cards that aid tokens, yet U play very few token cards... That would make this instabil... Drop the Phantom General & play 2 more Devotion in the main deck... I'd consider Angelic Overseer as well... That card is remarkable in a human deck!.. :) I'd use 3 Thalia in the sides... Not a bad idea!.. Vexing Devil is some card, but U R right... I can't remove a thing here... The Electromancer is not essencial, but gives a good assist to Snap from turn 3-4 to tuen 5-7 & makes my overlord spells cheaper... This is a control deck basically, so 1st turn drops R not making it any better, if the card(s) itselfe isn't important... THX 4 YO' suggestion tho! U made me thinking on it a bit :) ...
Good choise of cards, but the curve is just wrong... No matter Farseek, it doesn't make your deck faster, only brings mana to your hand... Your 1st 2 turns will be dead most of the time... This deck need to be completely recontructed...
