I hear ya on using direct damage to pave the way, but im not convinced youll have it on hand when you need it. Try adding in more direct control in place of some of the creature base. You might find better long term success and consistency. Hope this idea helps. If you get a chance, please take a look at my Probing Time deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=344642 ). Any help would be much appreciated.

If this is casual, why not have the Dark Rituals to increase your first turn Lich chance? Otherwise, nice job on thr mana curve, very tight! Oh, and what about considering a way to make the Lich unblockable? Hope this idea helps. If you get a chance, please take a look at my Probing Time deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=344642 ). Any help would be much appreciated.
I dont see why you wouldnt want to splash blue for Thirst for Knowledge and Fabricate. With Seat of the Synod splashed in for blue coloring, you might find some better synergy. Hope that idea helps. Hope this idea helps. If you get a chance, please take a look at my Probing Time deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=344642 ). Any help would be much appreciated.
Consider Darksteel Citadel as your token target for the Lich. Vault of Whispers will also give you an alternate target, at least, so that you dont get caught without an artifact for the Lich. Hope this idea helps. If you get a chance, please take a look at my Probing Time deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=344642 ). Any help would be much appreciated.
The mana curve and mana base are very concerning to me. Consider finding a way to reduce the splicer count so that you can increase the reliability and consistency of the deck. That way, you have better luck seeing what you need when you need it. Should you get a chance, please comment on my Probing time deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=344642 ). Any help would be much appreciated.
Worldly Tutor could help in a pinch either to grab a specific sliver or a queen. Adding one in place of one of the 3 queens might be beneficial. Hope this idea helps. If you get a chance, please take a look at my Probing Time deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=344642 ). Any help would be much appreciated.
Definitely consider Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth to help fuel the non swamps for when you need them. 3 Tops seem overkill to me, while 1 Sinkhole is too little. For card advantage, consider Necropotence in place of a Top, and definitely round out the Sinkhole count or remove them all together. I know what you mean about a "forever" deck. My casual MBC build is the exact same thing. Check.it out for some.additional ideas. http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=345027.
Glad to hear I'm not the only one getting bored/tired of all this standard stuff. The depth of option in Legacy not only is incredibly more interesting to me, its also much more familiar. Half of this standard.stuff is just so much the same. How many Delver, Infect, Snapcaster decks do we really need to see, you know? Long live Vintage/Legacy!.
Ponder, but that could even perhaps be maindboarded.in place of the Probes.
Withe mono blue, you should be able to go 21 or 22. Typically, because of the lack of accel in blue, you can't really afford to go less than 21.
Considering your mana curve, the low land count concerns me. Find a way to increase the lands so that you don't run into coloring or cost issues along the way. If you get a.moment, I welcome any criticism you could offer to my Black Hole deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=345027 ). Thanks!
I used to build that way before, too. 24 is a flat 40% and its easy to balance color dispursment after that. But why a difference it makes once you move off of it.
You could probably shave down some of the oozed.in favor of some basic land search to help prevent color issues. Doing this will increase the reliabikty of the build tremendously. If you get abfhance, please take a.look at my Black Hole deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=345027 ). It's casual but id appreciate any feedback. Thanks!
Taunting Elf would be a solid play so that your Heedless comes through unblocked for initial, potential lethal damage on its first swing. Even with Timberwatch, Taunting can be diaasterous to your opponent. If you get a chance please.comment on my Black Hole deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=345027). Anything you could suggest would be appreciated.
With such a low curve, I don't see the need for 24 lands. Consider dropping at least 2 and replace them with 2 more Porcelin Legionaires, they're presence on the board are a great early threat. Hope this helps. If you get a moment, please comment on my Black Hole deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=345027). Any feedback would be much apreciated.
You know, I really like this take on "Bloodcrank." Most are mono-black and pretty straight forward. The implementation of all this pinging counters is different (to me at least) and unique (again, to me at least). Clever, nice job! Should you get a chance, please take a look at my Black Hole deck (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=345027). I'm trying to make it as final as possible and any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
Considering your mana curve, you can probably justify not havin 24 lands. You should be able to shave it down to 22 easily, then moving in some counter/control to help keep yourself alive. Alternatively, adding more draw would help fuel your Erasures, so consider that, too. My biggest concern is that you are relying on Walls to absorb your incoming threats. While potentially effective, you might consider splashing black for some basic crowd control, or, again, looking towards counter to help keep things off of you so that you can develop your strat. If Standard or Modern isn't your goal and you're just going casual, look towards Brain Freeze to help things along. Should you get a chance, please comment on my Black Hole deck (http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=345027). Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Thanks for the comment on my Black deck. Don't you just love Splinter? I've got a r/g version that brings it into even more evil areas. Consider more LD like Thermokarst and even Naturalized to help things along. Thanks again.
Its clean, but i think youre short changing yourself with only 1 DoJ MBed. You might prefer running 2 MBed or both SBed. Just a thought. Grats on first page! If you get a chance, please comment on my Black Hole deck ( http://www.mtgvault.com/ViewDeck.aspx?DeckID=345027). Thanks.
Crop Rotation, with a CC of G, would get it into play faster, too. Win, win!
