lose all 4 etched champions and drop in 4 sound the alarm. Consider you have Coat of the Arms, honor of the pure, armorsmith and swordsmith out. For 3 mana you can drop an etched champion which would be a 6/6 OR you can drop a Sound the alarm (as an instant or whatver) for 2 mana and have 2 7/7s. You have the cards to make an excellent soldier deck. Don't ruin it by using a silly card that doesn't make sense.

Another problem I see, but honestly have NO idea what to do about, is Alluring Sirens or Lusts for War that force your creatures to attack NOT alone. That would REALLY screw with this but idk how you'd really stop that... Just something to consider :)
i dont get it.
You should be wary of putting so many eggs in one basket. A well timed doom blade would kill your singlke attacking creature and destroy your Eldrazi aura :/ I would suggest trying to find a way to stop this (any kind of counter or even a canopy cover or something) otherwise try and find a way to get your Aura back again (Elixir of imoortality would work well). Just a suggestion, though; I really like the deck :)
My first sample hand was: Darksteel Citadel, Mox Opal, Frogmite, Cranial Plating, Welding Jar, Ornithopter, Ornithopter. First hand drop EVERYTHING. Second turn, Cranial Plating on Frogmite and start swingin. I like this deck a lot :)
you should throw in some enchant hate in case of stuff like Dissipation Field which would bring all your lands back to your hand, and even with the ability to drop like 3 a turn that would still slow you down significantly...
i have 2 :) honestly though, theyre not strictly neccessary int he deck. I run a Proliferate deck using 4 everflowing chalices that gets mana pretty fast without tolarians
and what im saying is that with tolarian academy and the early game artifacts, i was able to get a memnarch out 3rd turn while already having eaten up some counters and depleted his mana pool. Counter decks can only counter so much early game, they really stride with a decent mana pool and a full hand. And actually the counter deck was custom built with a $200 budget. It is by no means a "bad" deck. Maybe I got lucky, but all I'm saying is that this deck can be incredibly dangerous.
also liquimetal coating plus memnarch allows you to take any permanent. and magus of the unseen can steal anything for a single turn too. and es volition reins in case either of those fails
with training grounds, liquimetal, and a memnarch... yes. 2 mana and a tap to gain control of anything i want
so i think im going to try something. i think im going to remove black blue and white and focus on green and red, mostly because i can throw in doubling season, forgotton ancient and then i can try and galvanics. id greatly appreciate comments on the changes :)
i agree that both would probably significantly improve the late game of this deck, i'm honestly mostly concerned with the early to mid game. The mana curve is a wee bit steep and id rather not add too much more high mana cost :/
unfortunately it is not... by tourny i mean Zendikar, M11, and Scars... my bad on the confusion
i like it. nuff said
Wow that's impressive. One of the hardest parts of EDH is sticking to a theme considering you can only have 1 of each card. That's why I enjoyed getting a multi-colored leader so I could somewhat diversify the theme and still be moderately effective. But yeah, making an EDH out of only colorless seems very difficult in terms of low mana costing stuff. So props to your pal.
You should consider prototype portals simply for the sake of mass producing corpse curs which are useful both for having a 2/2 infect as well as continuosly getting all ur dead stuff back. (This combo works BEAUTIFULLY with Puterfaxs. I have literally used the same Putrefax in a single game 7 times with this combo as well as Raise the dead. Its a good time :) )
So I made a deck pretty similar to this mostly for the sake of two headed giant with my green black infect deck too. One really good way to help speed up the game and take on a totally unique approach while they are trying to handle the infect is to add in some grindclocks. MY current proliferate has milled just about any deck it lasts more than 6 turns against due to grindclocks plus eternity vessels which I get out quickly thanks to Everflowing chalice. Besides being well-paired with infect though, you should also consider pairing this deck with an artifact heavy +1/+1 counter deck with proliferate as well. My friend has a deck like that filled with triskelions, pentavi, and steel overseers that we play together a lot. So far this combo has obliterated a very well paired teams of Soldiers and Angels, Shrines and early game white, burn and control, and meaty green paired with an overrun green. The longest anyone's ever gone against us is 12 turns, at which point we had 3 grindclocks with about 60 counters total, 2 triskelions with about 35 counters on them apiece, an eternity vessel with around 70 counters on it, and a Tezzeret and Jace the Mind Sculptor both at about 40 loyalty tokens. Needless to say, that turn we saced all the triskelions, exiled one player's library, milled the other, and were at about 400 life. :D :D :D
I don't understand why you have 2 Emeria in here if you only have 4 plains total...
An excellent addition. Thank you.
why the regen creatures instead of like Unearth. You can't regen sacrificed stuff...
