Faeries are pretty small creatures, so they are bad at blocking and defending. I recommend adding some kill spells. Since most of your sprites are rogues, oonas blackguard is a great choice. Notorious throng could be a great win condition here as a one or two of. Also since this is not concidered budget anymore, i recommend spellstutter sprite, its one of the best sprites ever printed.
Happy b-day btw!

Nice, let us know how testing is going.
Next step would be to adapt your mana base.
Fetchlands are a necessary evil but shocklands are not. Every shock costs two turns of bitterblossom. Every single life point matters in this deck. I recommend only one shockland.
Dismal blackwater is not a good dual land.
Here are some options that can be played:
Drowned catacomb, creeping tar pit, darkslick shores, river of tears

Great deck! Here are some changes I would make:

-1 Vendilion Clique - its a great card, but its legendary, you dont want to get them stranded in your hand.
+1 Mistbind Clique - its your biggest beater, and the only way to get rid of Bitterblossom - can be crucial

-2 Glen Elendra Liege
+2 Scion of Oona - Scion costing 3 instead of 4 with flash and hexproof is just the better lord.

-3 Faerie Impostor - is this a good card? Bad first drop. I see its cool with Spellstutter Sprite, but you also have Familiars Ruse...
+3 Kill spells - Cast Down, Go for the Throat, Doom Blade, Fatal Push ...
You could even go for Vapor Snag - also gives you the option to return your own creature if needed.

-4 Faerie Harbinger - Im not sure on this one, but i think its too expensive for its effect
+4 Opt - It also helps to find cards, smooths your draws.
I can also see like 2 Opt and 2 Remand in this spot. Or 3 Opt and one more kill spell.

Give it a try and tell me what you think about those changes.

Very nice list! How good is contested war zone? I play teetering peaks instead.

True, I was misled by kiki being legendary and angel blinking only nonangels. Sorry.

I like this idea, but I think this is not well polished yet.
Remember Kiki Jiki is legendary so it can not combo with the Angel. It Also can not combo with Flickerwisp, since filicker happens at the end of your turn, after combat.
If you want to go infinite, there is Village Bell Ringer which is 1 cheaper than Felidar and it even has flash.
Besides Thraben inspector, there is no way to gain value.

Also I have concerns about Faithless Looting. It is a great card if you can abuse it like say in Grixis or Lingering Souls decks. Here i cant see the real upside.

So for more value i would go for Wall of Omens in addition to Thraben Inspector. This could make up for Faithless Looting as a draw engine.
I would also cut 1 to 2 Kiki Jiki to avoid getting it stranded in your hand.
Then I would cut some Felidars and make room for Village Bell Ringer, since this is clearly the better creature.

Regarding your instants, Im sure you can fit in some removal. Brave the Elements is fine for protection. Cloudshift fits the theme, I give you that, but I dont think it really is that important. Dangerous Wager - also not important if you have Wall of Omens.

Here are my suggestions:
I would not play 4 nykthos since its legendary. Therefor add pendelhaven and cavern of souls
Cut one deep shadow for one more ezuri
Cut one nettle for the 4th heritage druid, its so explosive with dwynens elite
I can also see cutting another nettle for at least one visionary, never underestimate the power of the visionary!

I guess a proper deck would look something like this:

https://www.mtgvault.com/splinter/decks/unblockable-modern-merfolk/

Sure its about 30 more than yours but it has most merfolk staples you can use later on.
Take this as a reference

Uh, what about lead the stampede for card draw? Could be neat!

Thats a pretty good explanation here! I also think you wont have any fun playing this budget version if there are zero modern merfolk staples in it. I think lord of atlantis silvergill adept and spreading seas are essential. Then you can upgrade the rest of it sooner or later.

Hey there, sweet tribal deck!
Because you run notorious throng, i would try to add some more rogues. Therefor i suggest 4x metropolis sprite and also you should run all 4 blackguards.
And you should add some removal an counterspells. I would play like 3 doomblade, 1 pepersmoke, 4 spellstutter sprite, 3 mana leak.
For that you can easily cut all of those 4 mana faeries, they are not very good. You will see 2 mana sprites with scion of oona, blackguard counters and favorable winds get big enough. Metropolis sprite can get pumped up by herself to.

I guess Grand Architect is going to be replaced with m19 Supreme Phantom. Maybe this is the card that pushes spirits ahead. I havnt had any good results with spirits so far. Have you considered playing aether vial? It helps playing creatures while holding up counterspells.

I dont like your mana base, paying life for 4 fountains is not necessary, also you can not search for basics if you get field of ruined or pathed. Besides that there are no outs to blood moon.

Keep me updated on how testing goes!
