Deck Description

A ping/dink/"Tim" deck. Turns into a complete machine-gun later on. Sharpshooter is a nightmare for Eldrazi Spawn decks =P

Why not Basilisk Collar over Gorgon Flail?

Because I forgot about Basilisk Collar >_>

(thanks)

Oh man, given time, this deck turns into a machine gun! XD

Stuffy in Izzet is just cruel, I love it! Thought; Perhaps throwing in some trinket mages to search the basilisk collar, or blades?

Haha you love those trinket mages don't you? Jokes aside I considered them, but wanted to cram this full of as many pingers as I could, and after they grab the gear, which is sorta overkill anyway, they just sit there...

So in the spot where the used to be is 4 Curiosity(s). And those are way better, insta-kill combo or not.

I see your point, and agree. However I don't own Curiosity, and I enjoy making it nigh impossible for me to wind up not getting a collar.

Your answer--Trinket Mage + Lavamancer's Skill.

Truly eeeevil this one.

I'm a newbie to magic, but what about putting in Furnace of Rath? Would that be bad?

It wouldn't be bad, I just preferred to use Everlasting Torment instead =]

How about a goblin sharpshooter instead of the pyromancers? Equip it with basilisk collar and it becomes insane...at least I think that works, I've heard some debate.

Hey thanks, I forgot about those crazy little bastards. Yes, that does work. Just in case I get screwed with not drawing the collars, I'm just going to put in 2. =]

One question: Where is Charisma? It's so classic, you can't /not/ run it!

Machine Gun Crab, Stealer of Souls {3}{U}{U}{U}{U}{U}
Legendary Creature - Crab
You may exile a permanent named Horseshoe Crab instead of paying Machine Gun Crab, Stealer of Souls casting cost. Use this ability only if Horseshoe Crab is enchanted by Hermetic Study and Charisma.
{T}: Machine Gun Crab, Stealer of Souls deals 1 damage to target creature or player.
{U}: Untap Machine Gun Crab, Stealer of Souls.
Whenever Machine Gun Crab, Stealer of Souls deals damage to a creature, you gain control of that creature so long as you control Machine Gun Crab, Stealer of Souls.
1/3

I made a creature token identical to that ^ for my machine gun crab deck ages ago :) Wasn't legal in my deck, but my friends allowed me to swap it into play for it's alternate casting cost. I think I might want to revitalize my old deck as a W/U "Timmie the Tapper" they're a hell of a lot of fun to play in casual ^-^

Also, since you're running UR, why not a pair of Trinket Mages to tutor out Blade or Collar? Blade + Spikeshot Goblin and Collar + Sharpshooter = win.

No Triskelion?? Might as well, with Basi, Blade and Trisk you can ping to death any creature and whip their whole board.

I recommend Thornbiter Staff :3

Nice deck, btw

The staff might be good, but it'd only auto equip on the Sparkmage. If he was gonna do that, I'd just say put in more Sharpshooters.

Doesn't Everlasting Torment kinda screw with what Stuffy Doll is supposed to do? All it needs to take is 1 damage and it goes to the graveyard.

0

I take it that the pair of cards is more like a bag of tricks. They both do different things, for different occasions. Stuffy provides an intimidating defender, whereas Everlasting Torment provides permanent damage, allowing Goblin Sharpshooter to rapid-fire more easily against high toughness decks, and prevents damage prevention / life gain decks from overwhelming the army of Tims. Timmies are typically slow to build, so both spells are useful to cover the deck's ass since it's likely to suffer 2-4 turns of combat damage before it truly gets rolling.

i have a GR timmy deck that uses seedborn muses so my creatures untap on all untap steps as well as quest for renewal so it becomes a machine gun a lot faster and i turn reduce the oppoennts amount of creatures to zero as well as i put in a snake umbra so it gives me card advantage but b/r does that as well and rewards you for it because of niv mizzet so i somtimes wish that we could play eachother to see how they would stack up. :/

Charisma! also a Niv-Mizzet or two would make this a great multi-player deck imo. I'm pretty fond of Tim decks.

This deck is really awesome. SO MUCH PING. Though I'm sure you've thought about this, how about throwing in some epic untap to get even more damage out per turn?

Crackleburr - though he's a littler color specific, he can tap sick creatures to still do damage, or can untap your pingers and boomerang a pesky creature

Cerulean Wisps - gives you an extra ping and deck thinning for one blue! It could even make Crackleburr's 2nd ability possible if you only have one blue creature out at the time. How about pinging with a Curiosity creature, Cerulean Wisps, and ping again? 2 damage and 3 drawn cards for almost nothing

Breaking Wave - obviously 2 rounds of full ping in a turn is extremely win

Just some ideas! You probably don't want to dilute your core straight ping focus but these could seriously get some extra damage in there, especially Cerulean Wisps. Those are so frickin' sweet!
