More cantrips fewer lands? There is no way that a mana curve like that with 4 opt 4 consider needs 24 lands.

Snap gets a lot stronger with Familiar and Azorius Chancery, so at least in a vacuum it makes sense to move towards other cards whose strengths you can leverage more fully.

Why no [[Force of Will]]?

See, it's shit like this that could actually get me into edh. Especially seeing as how a creatureless [[Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon]] edh pox deck is probably a faster way to lose friends than to have sex with their mothers and is simultaneously the one deck I ever found interesting in the format lol.

I wonder whether more removal would not be warranted. [[Malicious Affliction]], [[Tragic Slip]], [[Snuff Out]], etc.

I would cut [[Mind Shatter]]. The card works best with X => 3, but since you have no mana acceleration, this means turn 5-9 for you, at this point, most opponents will have 1 or 2 cards in hand at most, and likely 0 as you have over a dozen other discard effects.

Besides that, if you aren't going for something competitive, this looks quite playable, maybe play around with a hypergeometric calculator to figure out the ideal land count for the deck, for example, currently, the odds of having 2 or more lands by turn 2 assuming you kept 7 cards and went first are 65%, which is not great, so increasing the land count by 2-4 would be reasonable.

Assuming you did not study hyper-obscure maths that not even my MSc Maths friends are aware of, you can uses sites like https://aetherhub.com/Apps/HyperGeometric to figure out the optimum.

I have lost some games due to having 2 deep anlyses in hand and 3 lands in play, that is true. But with 4 brainstorm to get rid of it, 8 ways to mill it, and 4 ways to discard it, the cost of running the card is outweighed by the benefit. It does allow you to shift gears and have a lot of staying power in the mid to late game, which I find valuable enough to keep playing the card as a 3x, though a lot of builds only run 2 for the exact reasons you outlined.

This, and 12 lands is too few for any deck that doesn't play 8 or more mana dorks like Elves does.
Also, [[Locust Miser]] is probably the single worst card out of the 30 000ish unique cards in mtg to play in a discard deck. Followed closely by [[Gnat Miser]] and other max hand-size reducers.

I think a heavier lean into artifact lands, furnace, den, vault, would maybe be required. In truth I think Mardu is one of the most fun puzzles currently playable in pauper. You can go ephemerate, initiative, wildfire, blood fountain, Orzhov blade + blast & synth, etc. Good luck brewing!

I generally play decks deck with enough removal and/or counter magic to deal with Archeomancer, but watching gameplay from the Jeskai Ephemerate / Azorius Familiars side, it's impossible to avoid the conclusion that Archeomancer can win a game on its own. But looking at the deck, I dunno what I would cut either tbh.

I think the lack of [[Refurbished Familiar]] is a crime xD As much as I abhor playing against that card. It's too good in a deck like this as it both acts as an evasive flyer to go along with your other evasive flyers, but also combos with them and is another in a long, long, long list of 2-for-1s in the deck.

All that said, it would likely require a lot of card changes, more artifact lands, and weaker synergies for Rebirth and Dispute and thus also lower copies of these immensely powerful cards.

Looks like Familiars but worse. But there are good reasons to stray away from the familiars formula, so that's not a mistake by definition. What is a mistake by definition is not running [[Archaeomancer]] in your [[Ephemerate]] deck. You really need to find space for at least 2 copies as it can singehandedly lock the opponent out of the game in a lot of situations. Perhaps cut some of your bounce effects for it? Running 9 is kind of pushing it.

Why [[Zulaport Cutthroat]] and [[Blood Artist]]? there does not seem to be enough synergy / tokens to justify them.

Yeah, I have retreated into Pauper, makes all the different flavors of sometimes borderline cataclysmic bullshit going on everywhere else seem kind of silly.

From what I have seen a few months ago on youtube, Lutri decks can reliably 3-2 Leagues in Jeskai and Grixis colors. The only cards that seem kind of sub-par are Realm-Cloaked Giant and Peek. All that said, I care less and less about modern with each passing day so my opinion is probably not worth much.

Man, it's the fact that decks like this don't really work in modern anymore that makes me not care about the format one goddamned bit these days. This is a great value pile, but just doesn't do enough at first glance.

Though, to start, [[Chord of Calling]] and [[Ephemerate]] in such high numbers seem like a bad idea. There are not enough silver bullets, and not enough cheap shit to cast it easily to justify Chord, and probably not enough bounce targets to justify Ephemerate as a 4x.

PS: Top choice of basic land art <3

Yeah, moxfield does everything better than valut, better than every other site I would argue, except when it comes to picking card art. The process there is tedious and the set abbreviations are not as standardized (no all 3 letters, etc.) which makes bulk importing cards with particular art cumbersome.

I get to go
3[ ICE] pyroblast
4 [ICE] hydroblast
3 [VIS] Crypt Rats
24 [mir] Island
etc.

when adding cards to the deck via the bulk import function. If I am gonna spend a lot of time looking at the cards and tinkering with the build I would prefer to look at the printings I favor, the ease with which this can be done on Vault is unparalleled in my experience.

Yeah, I will slowly migrate, though the card import function is so much better on here that I will continue to use this site.

Moxfield for me, but idk, I got so used to this site, the desire to brainstorm decks probably will not transfer. I've been on here for 11 years, life has sped up a lot in that time, it's sad to let this go.
