Correction guys/gals, Heroic Intervention gives indestructible to all permanents not just Forerunner which is ideal seeing as at some point the raptors would also die from damage.

Yes, you're right seeing as the Raider is the only card that requires blue mana. Then again, the Raider can also copy other creatures such as the Huntmaster to make the dinosaurs even cheaper so there is no limit to it's use. He/she could always include some fetch lands to help get the mana needed. On a side note, Siren's Ruse would also be an interesting card to play along with Swordtooth. Plus adds another blue spell to use the blue mana pool.
Love the deck concept. Why not instead of Raging Swordtooth you play Forerunner of the Empire? It's ability triggers for each dinosaur that enters play rather than once like Swordtooth. (also 1 mana cheaper)Also for some early control I'd suggest you look into Lightning Strike, Reckless Rage or Dual Shot instead of Rile.
Nice deck. One word of advice, what ever you do, do not cast Raging Swordtooth with Forerunner in play or you'll sweep all your 2 toughness creatures off the board. (though the enrage effects would be doubled as effective if you allow Forerunner's ability to trigger)Also I'd suggest adding two more lands to get the ball rolling a little faster.
I know pity right :(Will leave him for the Modern version.
Thanks, the High Priest might be good but it's only a one time effect per turn even though the large creature with flying is a good answer to flyers.
*Facepalm*
The only problem I can see with that combo DedWards is the mana cost for the ability of the Staff.Otherwise it would be a brilliant combo for this deck.
Felt like making my own twist to your deck concept. Please check out my latest deck: Gravepest
From what I can tell, they do suffer from summoning sickness sorry. I was actually thinking of how good a pair Footsteps would be with Fleshbag as you could potentially sacrifice three times in one turn.
Love the deck synergy.Might I suggest Footsteps of the Goryo as an added creature retrieval plus sacrifice effect. You should also look into Disturbing Plot and Morbid Plunder to cycle through already dead creatures and keep the pressure on your opponent.
You mean:T1: Play Dark Ritual, then play the Ghoul followed by Culling the Weak, use the undying ability of Ghoul to re-sacrifice to another Culling. That leaves you with seven mana not eight, if I am looking at it properly which means you could potentially only play Phage and not Griselbrand. The turn 2 with extra land would allow to get both, but the way you suggest playing it you'd waste a Culling in turn 1 for nothing. If so, then yes it is a very good combo.
Love the deck idea, keep it up. :)The fact that it is an easy turn 3/4 win is fantastic.
You've got to love that nutty flavor such a deck brings.
Brilliant deck, even the how to play is well explained.
Looks interesting, so if I am understanding it correctly the deck is based off one/two mana drops with the emphasis of card draw control? If so, seems like an interesting challenge.
You're right, but then again such a huge creature will always be the target of a neutralizing spell. If you are going for competitive, a quick win is always better than a drawn out struggle or giving your opponent the chance to counter your combo (such as bounce spells). On that not Mana tithe and Avoid fate would help solve such a problem.
Add Echoing Courage to have that quick buff during the final push.
I am afraid you are mistaken here, Supernatural Stamina clearly states:Until end of turn, target creature gets +2/+0 and gains "When this creature dies, return it to the battlefield tapped under its owner's control."In other words, till the end of your turn you can sack it for infinite life loss. The effect remains in the play as it allows the creature to die while retaining the second "triggered" ability.
I actually have a combo for you: Bile Urchin and Supernatural Stamina. For a two card combo I'd think it would make a pretty stupid deck.
