Great Deck! Launch the Fleet and the Battlefield is a cool combo, has me thinking some deck ideas for sure.

Thanks! Yes Im thinking the Cullblade would be nice early, and has the possibility to get stronger with the ring/and or its +2/+1 later. Guul Draz Assassin may even better, but its $5 a card. Thinking maybe two less Vampire Outcasts and one less markov: in place, 3 Cullblade.

Awesome deck as always. Maybe a Palace Guard? I know it doesn't gain life but its ability to take on all the opponents attackers could be nice. I tried making a budget deck, and was hoping you could check it out for me. http://www.mtgvault.com/biggeorge76/decks/children-of-the-night-budget/

Sun Droplet would be a nice card to add and moments peace over fog ;) Also, you may want to add something that allows you to affect your opponents because I wouldn't be attacking you in a multiplayer game as it stands. So you will need something more to finish off that last opponent.

I'd love to see you throw in a few multiplayer decks from time to time ;)

Yes, I considered it, but it doesn't take place at instant speed. The staff can protect your creatures if they are targeted.

Fetch lands thin your deck out allowing you to draw the cards that are needed for the deck to work properly. Although it may be a valid point about the life, I will have to test it out and see.

Thank you everyone for the input, I have added some of the suggested cards. It's an interesting thought, the varolz and perhaps even going for a "re-animator" theme. It's definitely an interesting thought.

Your welcome. Yes 4 Verdant Catacombs for sure. Some cards that may fit: courser of kruphix, polukranos world eater, and I'm thinking Vraska the Unseen may be a better fit than Garuuk.

Here is your problem, you want a Modern Tournament deck and almost all competitive modern tournament decks have fetch lands. What separates the winning decks from losing decks are tempos. One turn is often the difference between a win and a loss. 18 lands with 8 fetch lands is alright, 18 lands with 1 fetch land is broken. You will have mana problems. Also, 6 of your 18 lands come into play tapped, further adding to your problems. I know you asked to comment on things other than lands, but mana base (and sideboard) is what wins tournaments. All of your other cards could be AWESOME, but useless without the mana. Advice would be to temper your expectations, and add 4 more lands. And/or start investing in some fetch lands as they can be used for ANY deck. Meaning, if you want to try another tournament deck, you have your fetch lands to use as they are in MOST competitive decks. Also, your creatures are all over the place. Green, blue, and black. Desecration demons, kitchen finks, it doesn't really seem to fit together. What is your win engine? The ooze? It costs 3 green mana, again, goodluck getting 3 green mana, 2 blue, and 2 black with your mana base. Your creatures need work. I would stick to green and black. Not sure where to go as there are so many directions. I like your non creature spells though.

I like the idea of the deck. Suggestions: Main-board assemble the legion (-boulderfall, - to sideboard revoke existence), use 4 phalanx leaders (takeout -chosen, -nyxborn), add 3 titans strengths and take out -3 rise to the challenge

Death Watch, Grey Merchant of Asphodel, and I would add some creatures that have protection from black.
