I didn't think that you did. It would be much, much better if it did. I sort of assumed that you thought it did since you were sac-ing it.

Spitfire has a higher CMC, though. and it's ability is dependent on dealing damage, not just the casting i.e, Kiln Fiend is better against decks that negate damage.

wall of bone.

looks like a solid deck.

Call me crazy, but how exactly does bazaar trader+act of treason= stealing creatures? Am I missing something, because I don't think it does....

Mind taking a look at one of mine?

Cool idea! Child tribal isn't one I've ever heard of, but I like it.

I don't believe that Imaginary pet returns from the graveyard, would be great if it did, though.

Maybe you could remove two duress for for two despise? more variety in what you can take out of their hand.

Or, if you're not worried about budget, just switch all four for thoughtseize.

good idea.
Try adding Painful Quandary, Dash Hopes, and Maybe Indulgent Tormentor.

Definitely shirk Lose Hope in exchange for Go for the Throat, Murder or Dismember. OR at least switch it for Stabbing Pain or disfigure. Or you could +1 your gatekeeper of malakir.<--- Love that card.

Thanks!
Yeah, I like Nyxathid. I considered playing him, but I figured it would be better to play an extra discard spell/creature instead.

might i suggest:
1-2x Elite Arcanist
2x Tidebinder Mage (his effect doesn't remain active throughout multiple casts, but you can change the target)
(maybe) -1 Cathedral Sanctifier +1 inquisitor exarch
4x thragtusk

looks like a good deck. Had a friend who played one of these. was really annoying.

Something else I forgot to mention, you're going to get steam-rolled in early game, all of your creatures are 3 Mana, so your deck can't get going until turn 5 or 6 at best.

They can easily kill your snipers, and 1-3ish damage per turn will get wrecked by many good decks. You could try adding something to help cover your snipers, as you call them, such as whispersilk cloak, but overall, your deck isn't going to able to handle any good decks. Especially if they... A)Flood the field (anything green or some white) B) Burn(red) C)Destroy your creatures (black/red) D)Control(blue) E)Life-gain (white)

All in all, it's a cool deck, but it won't consistently hold its own against many good decks.

Think about it, if they can counter your creatures, then they can play their creatures and win. If they can gain life faster than you can chip away at it (any halfway decent life-gain deck), then you can't win. If they get so many creatures out that you can't handle them all, then you will easily get over powered, and if they simply kill your creatures or artifacts, then you're in a tough spot too. And many burn decks, even without creatures, should be able to burn you to death faster than you can to them.

I totally agree that if they can't do anything, then it doesn't matter how quickly you kill them, but the fact is, most decks are either not creature based or will kill you faster than you can say "I tap for 3 damage"

This deck does have plenty of potential, but it also has countless holes that are easy to find and take advantage of.

This is one of the more common issues in blue decks, tons of cool combos, but they simply aren't fast enough, which is why most blue decks are either control or comboed with Green, Black, or White. (I've mostly seen Red-Blue wedges, not straight Red-Blue). This goes back to my previous point of adding more acceleration and probably a few more counterspells. Another idea, which would require a larger revamp of the deck, would be to make it multi-coloured (in your deck you might actually try something like Red-Blue, red to accelerate the killing of them, and blue, for your original idea of sniping their creatures.)

Props to your deck Idea,
I always love seeing original deck styles.

Pretty cool deck idea. It's original and quite trolly. But I can't see this winning against any non-creature based decks. Or creature decks, for that matter. You should put in some more acceleration, Ponder, Index, or any sort of tutor should suffice. Also this deck can't deal any real damage, only kill creatures. You should think about throwing in something with a few more STR points. My personal recommendation would be Wake Thrasher, even if it costs a few extra dollars. This way you have tons of kill effects that in turn pump Thrasher for a much quicker kill.

I've seen similar builds with more expensive cards, but this one is good too. My one question, why megrim rather than Liliana's caress?

it's fine, but it's very similar to one of the more popular decks on the site. as is the one i was just looking at. try and be creative, don't base your decks off of other people
