Noted and adjusted. When I put this deck together I limited my search to creatures with Batallion. I think that's a worthy exception, though. Thanks for being constructive.

Except I'm wrong because Boonweaver can take it out of the graveyard immediately. Nevermind. Ignore me. But using that combo for lifelink would still be great if you don't get Grim Guardian out to complete infinite the combo. And since the repeated sac works, you could use Boonweaver to give Butcher all three effects.

I think the wording of Gift of Immortality might ruin this for the sort of infinite combo that wins the game instantly. It says to return Gift of Immortality to the field "at the beginning of the next end step." This means that you have to be ending your turn before it comes back, which means you don't get to just ramp it up all at once. If you sacrificed your Boonweaver twice in the same turn, he'd die the second time before he got Gift of Immortality back and he'd be gone. At best you could deal one damage this way during each player's turn, but the turns would keep cycling. I think this is still a badass combo, though -- I'd just be sacking Boonweaver for lifelink and swinging with Butcher every turn -- especially if you can afford a Darksteel Plate or something else to give him indestructible while doing this.

Wow. That mana curve doesn't curve at all. My OCD is pleased with this, but my inner tactician is really curious to see how that works.

Undead Corps? You mean Walking Corpse or Undead Warchief?

Army of the Dead would be a good addition. But then, I always say that.

If you can find another mana that eliminates your hand limit, this thing would be bonkers.

Wait, so you have two of that enchantment, and then you have a hand full of mana and convert that hand full of mana into half as many 2/2 zombies? I like it.

I'm rather a fan of this deck. Depending on whom you want to play against, it might be okay for it not to be legal in standard. My friends and I who play don't heed official legality so much as we have our own list of cards that are not allowed which is mostly based on the group itself. For instance, we have deemed Infect illegal as a whole, even though non-infect cards from the same block are okay.

That said, if you want to play in tournaments or in groups that use official legality, Benny made an excellent suggestion. The only other suggestion I'd add is this: If a card is part of your ideal scenario, I'd probably start with it in my deck rather than have to sideboard it in. Maybe that would even mean having only one Primordial Hydra and one Omniscience in and deciding whether to sideboard in the others each time, but if Hydra or Omniscience either one is part of your win condition, I'd definitely count them among my main deck.

I'm adding this to my list of decks that I want to try to emulate on a budget. It's completely epic, but it has a pricetag to match. I think I'll try something that works similarly (albeit probably not in such an epic fashion) for less than $30.

Now that I've gotten over my issue with basic integers, I really like this deck. I wish I could make something like it at what I'd consider a budget level.

I see a lot of people just throwing around, "That's a bad card." Tell me what makes it bad. I appreciate that you're trying to help, but without some kind of explanation or justification (or a suggestion for what to put in its place), it just kinda looks like you think your opinion is better.

And I don't think you're just a dick, so please do elaborate.

I am a fan of this deck. My vamp deck ended up red/black, but I like the mono approach.

I agree with Aliski about adding a big creature, but I recommend against Toxic Nim specifically. Infect doesn't deal normal damage at all, so it would be trying to win the game all by itself with poison counters while the rest of the deck is working toward HP. Try, perhaps, Cairn Wanderer.

So I must ask: What's the usefulness of Geosurge? If you spend four red mana on seven red mana (a net of 3), why not just use your mana directly? I feel there must be a use for it, but I can't see it.
