I think you'd be surprised how good she is on her own. There's a remarkable number of targets and even dropping her onto a clear board isn't a bad plan for value. Especially with Chandra's Pheonix.

Also Incinerate is strictly better than Lightning Strike.

I really think you should run Pyromaster.

I wrote this big answer explaining why Golgari Charm was only OK against twin... but then I realized how good it was against them.

1) It straight up stops the Pestermite Side because they all die.
2) It pseudo-removes the exarch swing for a turn because they become 0/3.
3) It destroys the enchantment.

It's probably your best main-deck card against them.

*EDIT* IT ALSO CAN'T BE STOPPED BY SPELLSKITE ADL;FKASJFKDF

I LOVE it. I hadn't thought about Ledgewalker, but I think she ACTUALLY WORKS in the deck. IOK is perfectly fine... actually... probably better than seize in this deck.

Sideboard-wise you still need a solid plan against affinity and twin. I'm thinking some number of Doom Blade/Smother/Slaughter Pact and then some number of Nature's Claim/Oxidize/Creeping Corrosion or Infest/Drown in Sorrow/Damnation (your golgari charms are pretty good too if they don't have a dude to pump out counters).

I don't know if I'd go as far as changing the deck to Boggles out of fear of 4 Lightning Bolts, but I'd want to run at least as many ways of getting rid of the bolt as they run bolts.

As for cuts, I think Force of Savagery and Corpsejack Menace might be too slow and you probably only want 1-2 Maelstrom Pulse main, because there are too few matchups that a turn 3 pulse is your best play on turn 3.

Also without hand disruption you deck will play less consistently. Keep in mind that since scavenge is sorcery speed, most everything you want to play dies to Lightning Bolt. Hand disruption lets you pull the removal from their hand so you can get a scavenge trigger going.

Depending on how competitive you want to be with this deck, I would recommend going up to 4 mainboard Abrupt Decays and throwing in hand disruption in the form of Thoughtseize and Liliana of the Veil. Also keep in mind you're going to need a solid removal package in the sideboard against Splinter Twin and Affinity.

I just wanted to run the sword cycle in its entirety, because they all have their uses and are tutorable (Body and MInd or more accurately mill in general can wreck non-graveyard based combo decks, and War and Peace helps against those Nekkusar strategies which are popular right now).

In a 1v1 Situation Curse of Predation is a house, but I'll agree that in Multiplayer it is lackluster. Perhaps that is the cut for Mrs. Champion of Lambholt, whom I simply overlooked.

In my playgroup, Ruination and Blood Moon hurts just about everyone equally, we're pretty greedy with our mana bases, but feel free to make whatever changes you need to play around popular hate in your meta. With this in mind, however, maybe I should run them!

I removed Shrap Blast as it's too inconsistent.

The list has changed, waste not isn't really doing a LOT in mono-black right now.

I feel like simply running more of the same kinds of things in the Sideboard is counter-productive. You might want to think about matchups and tailor it to those.

I'm thinking vs Aggro:
+4 Elesh Norn
+2 Sun Titan
+1 Unburial Rites
-or-
+3 Wurmcoil Engine (even at 5/5 with heartless it's still a house)

vs Affinity:
+2 or +3 Stony Silence

against Scapeshift and slow combo, your disruption package is the nuts, just be careful for the snapcaster blocks on your scullers.

against other fast combo, just hold a path or decay in hand if it's Twin. I have no idea what your storm plan is though. Pretty much hope to dodge it because you have so many dead cards (even the disruption is underwhelming against them) that I don't see a good storm player having major problems against this deck. Even the sided Leylines probably won't do much against the G2 Empty the Warrens.

then against American Control and Electrolyze decks, simply take out the heartless summoning plan and champions, bc most of your other guys are big enough to prevent 3-for-1s without it.

How do you ensure getting bitter ordeal? It seems easy enough to pull off the 2 card combo especially with mill, but like many infinite mana combos in modern, if you don't have the coup de grace then you might lose even after assembling it. I'll think on it. I like this combo.

//can pump an inkmoth and is another artifact for the next card...
+4 Blinkmoth Nexus
//makes a single infect swing lethal. Also with BBB you can re-equip and tainted strike for game.
+4 Cranial Plating

Mask of Memory and Exoskeleton are probably the cuts for them.

Yeah, the dragon fodder, also you could honestly drop one of the three drop lords for the other. Bolt gives you 1) answers and 2) reach.
